After Breakfast, Eddie and I said goodbye to my mom and Andrew and headed off to school.

"I have to admit, the shorts with the tights underneath," he wrapped an arm around me, his hand resting on my hip,"Its pretty hot."

"Oh yeah?" I asked, leaning into his side. "You like it when I put on more layers?"

"So sexy." He agreed. I nodded.

"Well maybe later, if you're lucky, I'll let you watch me put on all my sweaters at once." He burst out laughing and I smiled as we stopped beside his van. He pulled the passenger door open, offering his hand to me.

"My lady."

"Thank you." I took his hand, letting him help me into the van. He shot the door behind me, jogging around to the driver's side and getting in.

"Speaking of hot," I continued as he pulled out of the trailer park, "You being a gentleman? Crazy hot."

"I aim to please." He said, reaching over and grabbing my hand. He pulled it over as he drove, pressing the back of it to his lips. I smiled.

"What?" He asked, holding our hands in the air between us.

"Nothing." I said, averting my eyes out the windshield.

"Why are you making that face?" He asked through a chuckle.

"What face? There is no face!" I argued.  "I just think that maybe...you are more of a romantic than you let on."

"What?" He asked skeptically, letting go of my hand.

"Yeah! I'm serious, I think deep down, behind that cool-guy society-hating shield, you actually like some of that romantic, lovey Dovey couple stuff." I clarified. "Don't be embarrassed! Its cute!"

"Its not cute," he argued, "I'm not cute, I don't..."

"You just kissed my hand while you were driving," I pointed out, "That's like Grade A boyfriend behavior."

"No-No. No, I'm not...I wasn't. No, that's ridiculous."

"It doesn't have to be." I said with a shrug. "I mean, it happens. When two people like each other it makes them act a certain way, that's just how it works."

"Yeah, maybe in Normals' land with the other sheep who just follow the person in front of them, but I don't do that. I'm not like those other guys you've dated."

"Ok, why does that bother you so much?" I inquired. "Is it really such a bad thing for you to behave like a normal human being?"

"Insinuating what?" He shot back. "That the popular kids are 'normal human beings' and I'm what? Eddie 'the freak' Munson?"

"No, that's not what I meant." I replied. "I meant that you have a habit of looking at normal human behavior and villainizing it just because the popular kids sometimes display human tendencies. Liking a girl and being romantic doesn't make you the next Prom King candidate."

"No, it just makes me like David." I raised my eyebrows, turning my head to look at him. He glanced at me. "First you get mad that I'm acting like David and now you're getting made that I don't. Which is it?"

"Who even mentioned David?" I asked. "I didn't say a word about David, you brought that into this. And I'm not mad, all I was saying is that you don't have to be embarrassed about wanting to act like a boyfriend, and here you are accusing me of getting 'mad' at you and comparing you to David."

He sighed, closing his eyes for a brief moment before opening them to focus on the road again.

"So...I'm guessing we didn't resolve the whole David thing." I said quietly, glancing out the window.
