Lizzie was in her dorm looking at the bruise she got from the fight with Dana when Josie entered with pack of frozen peas.
"You mad at me?" Josie asked.
"No. I'm mad at the world, and you just happen to be in it." Lizzie said
"Well, you're about to be. I did a little spell at the game. I made Kaleb drop the ball. And I totally did black magic with Hope and Lexi." Josie said
"Well, let's just call this what it is. You betrayed me." Lizzie said.
"I was worried about disappointing Dad. So I disappointed you instead." Josie said. holding out the pack of frozen peas.
"I'll forgive you if you promise not to keep secrets about doing black magic with Hope and Lexi. You're my sister, my best friend, and she spent the last ten years making us feel like we don't matter. And I don't like feeling that way. Not from Hope, and not from girls like Dana, not from Dad and not from you. I promise." Lizzie said taking the peas bag.
"Okay? I'm sorry." Josie said.
"It's okay. I mean, betrayal and all aside, you had my back today." Lizzie said.
"And you had mine. So, what are we gonna do about Dad?" Josie asked as they laid on the bed.
"More like what is he gonna do to us?" Lizzie said as Josie applied the bag on the bruise.
◆Route 29 Road◆
Alaric was leaning against the car when Hope came out the woods after burying the body.
"Where are they?" Hope asked.
"Gone. I found this on the windshield when I got back." Alaric said handing her the letter.
"Dear Hope, you strike me as the kind of person who's not so big on second chances, much less third, but I'm gonna give it a shit. I can't explain why I took that knife. Believe me, I wish I could. But maybe I can explain why I ran. I have never been welcomed anywhere in my life. I'm always the extra. The mouth they didn't want to feed. If I caused trouble, I was out. When you grow up like that, you learn how to protect yourself. You do what you have to do to survive. I never had a real family. And that's not meant to make you feel sorry for me. I'm trying to make you understand. I lied to protect myself, but in doing so, I hurt you. And for that, I will be forever sorry." Landon's voice over said.
◆Saltzman Twins Dorm◆
The twins were sleeping when Alaric entered the dorm and Josie woke up.
"Dad, I can explain." Josie said as Lizzie woke up.
Alaric went towards the twins hugging them.
◆Hope and Lexi's Dorm◆
Lexi was asleep in her bed when Hope entered reading rest of the letter.
"The time I spent with you the other night was one of the happiest moments in my life. I hate that I ruined it. Your school's secret is safe with me. With regret, Landon." Landon's voice over said. Hope looked at the photo frames she had of her family on the side table.
All the Mikaelson had a sad smile. Lexi was holding Henrik and Hope's hand.

Hope got up from her bed and laid next to Lexi on her bed cuddling.
"Who do I've to bury?" Lexi asked. Hope chuckled and both went to sleep.
Henrik then enters to check on them and found them cuddling. Taking a quick photo then sending to someone. Kissing Hope forehead and Lexi's cheek he left the room.
"Oh so cute." Caroline said.
"Nope no no Salvatore and Mikaelsons can never like each other never." Damon said Lexi and Stefan just rolled their eyes.
◆Boarding School Gate◆
"Trying to make a run for it?" Dorian asked seeing Alaric pulling the gate.
[CHUCKLES] "Yeah. I just noticed this gate wasn't locking the other day." Alaric said.
"You worried about people getting out?" Dorian asked
"I'm worried about what might want to get in. We've gotten cozy here. Careless. I'd forgotten the world is full of nasty surprises. I don't know what the story is behind that knife, but whatever it is, I... [EXHALES] saw something today I never thought I'd ever see in this lifetime. And it scared me. You know, I opened this school to protect these kids. To protect my daughters. How am I supposed to protect them from stuff that's not supposed to exist?" Alaric said walking away with Dorian not seeing the statue moving.
