Rosetta went to her first Transfiguration with her fellow Slytherins. The Gryffindor extremists  seemed a bit testy. Christmas break seemed to give them more energy to harass Rosetta. Some would try to trip her or push her in the hallways which she would dodge. She had been doing it all day finally Ronald and James Jr. decided to take things a little farther and began throwing hexes at her as she was on her way to meet her study group outside. Rosetta knew what they were going to try and made them chase her outside. The group turned as more serious spells started flying. James began to get tired but was also laughing with Ron believing that Rosetta was scared. Suddenly Rosetta fired back freezing the boys in place.

"Ah sorry I was late guys I was guiding our lesson here. I am going to show you how to turn a fired spell back on its castor in three different ways. The easiest is to use a spell called scutum reditus. This spell is a shield to reflect what is flung at you back to the one who cast it. The spell originated in Russia or Germany for my Ravenclaw who wish to research this later. Now the downside is that this will not work for physical attacks, that is a different spell. For the muggle-borns, this spell will not stop a bullet for reference. If you are interested I will hold a session about different shields and their uses." Rosetta began to teach and released James and Ron 

James immediately fired a jelly legs hex. 

"Scutum Reditus." Rosetta said clearly 

James immediately began dancing a jig. 

"We have been learning silent casting here lately. I suggest practicing out loud simply because mispronunciation can accomplish some different results as well as weaker results." Rosetta said as Ron tried to help stop James before turning on Rosetta 

Ron fired a spell while yelling "Eat slugs!" 

Rosetta caught the spell on the tip of her wand and threw it back. Ron began to throw up large slimy slugs. The students were grossed out but happy with such an interesting sessions. 

"This is merely a good practice. This will work on every spell except the Unforgivables. The idea is to focus your magic to the tip of your wand and catch the spell and send it back." Rosetta said 

Professor McGonagall, Snape, Dumbledore, and Hooch were walking over to see what was going on. James had managed to stop himself and was out of breath and sore but he hadn't seen the professors. Both he and Ron charged at Rosetta in front of the professors. She was turned talking to the class and merely waved her wand behind her without batting an eye or saying a word. Both boys snapped to attention, frozen in place, and fell over. The students stared in shock as did the professors at the silent casting. 

"Petrificus Totalus. A spell used to turn a person to stone in a sense. The victim of the spell tends to stay frozen until either the spell loses power or someone uses the reversal spell, finite incantantum. Now everyone pair up and practice while I discuss things with our guests." Rosetta said drawing everyone's attention to the professors who were gathering up James and Ron 

All three were taken to the Headmaster's office. Dumbledore sat there without the twinkling eyes and instead looked like a sulking child. He did not want to punish James and Ron and he was being very blunt about it. 

"Miss Sherwood, if you felt like you were being attacked you should have gone to the professors instead of this vigilante justice. Children will be children, Severus, and I do not think this matter warrants a suspension." Dumbledore said 

"First, Headmaster, Potter, Weasley, and I are the same age so the saying children will be children would cover me too. Second, you are trying to let them off scot-free compared to if the situation had been reversed and Slytherins were terrorizing a Gryffindor then they would have been handed over to the aurors right now for assault. Third, the bullying has been quite extensive in the hallways and you as well as the professors have turned a blind eye to it. They after all follow your example. So you may pick how you want that excuse to go either they refused to step in because he is your Boy Who Lived or they were too blind to see the bullying. Fourth, they have been attacking me for weeks today things escalated to much more serious. I am allowed to protect myself, Headmaster, even if you have no wish to acknowledge it. I care not how you punish them but be wary of attempting to back a snake into a corner they tend to strike back." Rosetta said fed up with the Headmaster and his two faced attitude

 "Due to this incident each of you shall lose fifty points to your house, but James and Ron shall serve detention with Filch for two weeks. Hopefully this will put an end to such abominable behavior from my lions. I am most disappointed." McGonagall said 

Professor Snape wasn't happy about it but had no choice but to accept it. He led Rosetta back to the dungeons and into the Slytherin common. He turned to her in front of everyone. 

"50 points for an above average show of mastery of spells. 5 points for putting dunder heads in their place. 5 points for staying calm in tense situations." Professor Snape said making Rosetta smirk slightly as everyone else cheered 

The next few days proceeded to keep James and Ron away from Rosetta, their point loss got them ostracized in Gryffindor. Ron had told his mother about the big bad Rosetta Sherwood which led to Weasley howler coming to Slytherin table the next morning. 

"You should be ashamed of yourself, young lady. The Potters are a good family, and you should be grateful for what they did for your protection. You are a Potter with a family not some muggle with a muggle family. You should be grateful for having such a fantastic family as well as being the sister of the Boy Who Lived. The fact that you decided to bully my poor Ronald for being friends with young Jamie is absolutely absurd. You need a proper family to raise you since the current one obviously is lacking. You will give both James and Ron a proper apology or so help me I will to Hogwarts and give you a proper talking to since your adoptive family has failed in raising you properly. 

Sincerely Molly Weasley" the howler finally shredded itself as Rosetta and the rest of Hogwarts except for the Gryffindor just stared at the idiocy shown in the letter

Ron and James with majority of Gryffindor laughed but no one else did.

The Weasley twins had appeared to apologize to her and say that Ron was just a bad egg and unfortunately their mother was Ron's biggest advocate.  

"I will not accept the apology from you as you were not the one to wrong me, but you have to see how this makes the Weasley family look especially to so many people. Everyone in Hogwarts has seen how vile and obnoxious certain Gryffindors have been, so this letter simply shows the Weasley family as incompetent and rash. Your father isn't looked down upon for loving to learn about muggles but because of things like this. They ask themselves if he can not take care of his own household, how can anyone trust him with more. How about this as a gesture of good will I will tell you how to get your family in a better light? First, have your oldest sibling come to me with a formal apology. Tell him everything that has happened in the year and how Ron was involved. Second, as the Head of the Weasley family, your father can curb your mother. Your financial situation is connected to his work situation, his work situation is connected to his reputation, and his reputation is being obnoxiously destroyed because of the actions of Molly and Ronald Weasley. Third, you can be pranksters and still have stunning grades. The more knowledge and class you excel at will show in the creativity and quality of your pranks. It will also get your mother off your back." Rosetta lectured the twins 

The twins walked off in thoughtful silence as she winked at her friends and continued eating.
