18 - Full Moon

The stress over the approaching full moon took a toll on not only Matt, but on Harrison, Rose and Jack. 

Harrison prepared the room that Matt will transform in.

He placed spells on the room to make sure that no one can hear Matt's transformation in the room and for Matt not to escape the room. 

"Do you have your bag prepared for the night?" Harrison asked Rose in the living room.

"Yeah," Rose, who was sitting on the couch with a duffle bag next to her, said.

"Good, good," Harrison said, anxiously.

"It'll... it'll be okay," Matt said. "I hope."

"It will," Harrison said. "It will be okay."

Someone knocked on the door.

"Come in!" Harrison and Matt said in unison.

The door opened and Jack entered. 

"Hey," he said. 

Justin and Juliet followed him in.

"Are you okay?" Juliet asked.

"Whatever you guys need, we're here for you," Justin said.

"I'm fine," Matt shrugged.

As much as he hated the transformations, he has gotten used to it.

"You know Matt's a werewolf?" Rose asked.

"Yeah," Justin said. 

"How?" Rose asked.

"Well, I noticed Matt would disappear around the full moon and pieced together everything," Justin said.

"Has Alex..."

"No, she hasn't," Justin shook his head. "But she's trying to figure it out."

Matt nodded.

"And don't worry," Juliet said. "We won't tell anyone."

"Thank you," Matt said, tiredly.

Matt pulled the sleeve of his hoodie down, getting self conscious of the scars on his arms now.

Matt sensed something.

"What?" Harrison noticed. "Matt, you okay?"

"Someone is coming," he said. 

"Room, now," Harrison instructed.

Matt nodded and rushed up to his room.

Matt heard knocking and someone opened the door.

"Oh, hey Alex," he heard his father say.

"Hi, Mr. Taylor," Alex said. "Is Matt home?"

"He's sick," Harrison said.

"Oh," Alex said.

She sounded disappointed. 

Matt felt something punch him in the stomach. He wanted to go downstairs to see Alex, but he couldn't. He was going to risk anything. 

All he wanted to do was go down and talk to her but he can't.

"Then what are you three doing here?" Alex asked.

Matt knew she was talking to Jack, Justin and Juliet.

"I came to check in on Matt," Jack said. 

It was true. Jack did come over to check in on Matt. That was part of it. The other reason he came was because Rose was going to spend the night at Jack's house to keep her away from the house. To make sure she was safe from... from him, from Matt.
