21 - Basketball Court

Matt was curled up in a ball.

The furniture in the room was destroyed from the previous nights transformation.

His shirt was ripped to shreds. His jeans was always somehow intact.

"Matt," Harrison said, softly. "Matty."

Matt groaned.

"Come on, buddy," Harrison said, helping Matt up to his feet.

Sunlight came in through the curtains.

"Morning?" Matt said.

"Yes, buddy, it's morning," Harrison said in the same soft tone. 

Harrison helped Matt up to his room.

"Where's Rose?"

"She spent the night at a friends house," Harrison said.

"Okay," Matt said as Harrison helped him sit down on the edge of his bed.

Matt was sweaty and looked feverish.

Harrison placed his hand on Matt's forehead.

"How are you feeling?" Harrison said.

"Just exhausted," Matt said. "I need... I want..."

He struggled to say words. 

It felt like he was slurring his words. 

"Lay down," Harrison said.

"Sweat... sweatpants," Matt said.

Harrison nodded.

He took out a pair of sweatpants from Matt's closet.

"I'll... I'll do... it," Matt said.

"Lay down for a little bit," Harrison said. "I'll make breakfast."

"Okay," he said.

Harrison closed the bedroom door behind him as he left.

Matt slowly changed into his sweatpants and laid down on his bed until his dad called him for breakfast.

Someone knocked on the door.

"Matt!" Jack said.

"Come on," Matt said.

Jack entered.

"Are you okay, buddy?" Jack asked.

Matt groaned.

"Your dad said breakfast is nearly ready," Jack said.

"Okay," Matt said.

He slowly got out of bed and put on a shirt.

"No scars this time," Jack noted.

Matt chuckled.

"Yeah," he said. "Thank God."

"Are there any potions to help?" Jack asked.

"They're working on it," Matt said.

"Are they selling them?"

"Not selling them, but testing them," Matt said.

"Are you..."

"Yeah," Matt said, putting his shirt on. "And it helped a little."

Jack smiled.

Matt followed Jack downstairs.

"Here," Harrison said, pushing a glass filled with grayish liquid to Matt. "The doctors told me this potion should help post transformation."
