Chapter Zero.

"Gods." That can translate to anything. Mystical, powerful beings. Or people with great and extraordinary gifts. But there are other beings who are related to the legends.

They go by a few names. "Half-bloods", hybrids, but the most famous word for people like these are most commonly known as "Demi-Gods."

The offspring of a god and humans. And legends had told stories about some of these famous people. Like, Hercules, Perseus, Thor. And even the son of Poseidon, Percy Jackson.

My Sensei, and now me. My story beings with the origins of my grandmother and my people. Their names might sound familiar thanks to "Wonder Woman."

"The amazons." Our story had started with us being the daughters of Aries, the god of war. And the son of the false god, Zeus. We had shared our home with some of the people of Greece.

But one day, Aries had one day arrived and had taken some of us to fight in a great battle to Concur Rome.
When some of the soldiers had destroyed his Temple during the Macedonian war.

Aries was in rage. So, he had taken us to the realm of the gods. Where he had increased, speed, strength, stamina, durability, agility, and had given us immortality.

He trained us to fight hard and fierce, then any mortal man. And because of that the men who had enraged him, were now dead before our feet. But not all the gods had agreed with what Aries had done.

One god in particular, was his sister. Athena the goddess of war and wisdom. She was horrified by what her brother had made us do for him. With the help of her and some of the gods that she called friends.

Was able to break us free of our former creator/master. And to make sure that what we had endured would never happen again.

So, she had taken us to an island from off of the coast of Greece that she had created. And she called it Asteri Island. From the Greek word star.

An island, that would symbolized hope and piece. But still Incase that, something like that would happen again. Athena who had become our queen.

Had still had convinced us that we should still be ready in case of any foes who would want to try and enslave us again. For two centuries.

Athena had ruled us and protected us just and fair. And one day a brave man known as Perseus had arrived on the island. He had lost everything.

His home and his family. Athena saw that he was a good man, and was smitten with him at first sight. They had fallen in love. And soon they would have a child.

Though sadly, he would not have the chance to see her be born. When Athena had learned that they were woman being sold as slaves, some of them being lost Amazons.

He had promised that he would bring them home and save them. He did, but Athena would soon learn that he love would not return.

He had died while saving them. The amazons had learned that day that there were indeed some men that could be trusted. And when her daughter was born.

She told her the story of him and that would go on to inspire her to become one of the world's greatest warriors in the present times. Where she had made friends with other defenders like her.

And would go on to have a sisterhood with another powerful demi God hero like her. Known as The Night Angel. This woman is my mother. Her name is Athena Alexia. Which means "helper/defender."

And she was named after her mother. But in battle she was just called Athena. Her hero life would have her having her own love life as well. But her true love was a hero who called himself.

The Black Devil. When they meet he was just an ordinary human just dress in a scary outfit. They would have one night together. But it had led to me being born.

My name is Maya Earnheart. You know as the sister to my brother Shadow Bat. You know his story. Now let me tell you mins. My story had begun about two weeks before all of the things that had taken place in my brother's story.

And ever since I was born I was taught the way of the warrior. I had learned how to fight from my sister's, aunt's, mother, and my sensei, the night angle.

But not just fighting. I had learned about places in the outside world and how to even speak the language. Which I had learn over four of them.

But my study's in swordsman ship and horse training had excelled. But for the last two weeks both my mother and grandmother were starting to get worried about.

I had learned how to be a warrior. And the knowledge of the other world. But they could both see that my skills to interact with other people had not accelerated at all.

The both of them had thought of an idea and late that night. In my chambers, my mother had wanted to talk and she told me.

(Maya confused) You want me to leave? But why?

(Athena Jr) Your grandmother and I believe that we think that it may be time for you to experience the outside world just as I did.

You have been on this Island for almost your whole life. And I think it would be good for you to see what the world is like, instead of just learning or reading about it.

But why now, mother? My mother had look me in the eyes and said. Because, you have also learned to be a warrior too much.

My, daughter. I have taught you to be nice, kind, brave, and Night Angle has taught you well too. But we have failed to teach when you do not have to be a warrior.

I know how I to do that, mother. Maya. Besides your sister's and teachers. Do you have any friends? Any at all? One of the abilities that I and her had in common, was that we can both feel when someone is lying.

And my mother could feel it if I was. Maya you are an Amazon. But you are still in title to have a life besides the warrior's life.

I was train as you are, but I did have a life without my sword or shield. And that is what I want for you. So please for me Maya. I could see that she really did want this for me, so I had agreed.

Yes, mother. Thank you. Does this mean that I shall go to the outside world on my own? Great Poseidon, no.
You will be staying with your father.

I am going to staying with father? Yes, he has been wanting to have you come and stay with him for a while. That does sound well.

Get some sleep and make sure that you are pack. He will be arriving her tomorrow to come and get you. I shall. Good night mother.

Good night, my little warrior. She did tell me to go to sleep. But I could not. My mind was filling up with questions as to what would the outer world be like?
