Coraline Chambers

"Helena is gonna be his lawyer?" Cory asked Allie quietly.

Allie nodded, standing on the podium. "And... Harry is gonna be a witness?"

Allie looked over at Cory again, "Yes. He needs to be." She told her.

Cory took a breath, exhaling slowly. "Okay. I'm gonna... go home and get dressed." Cory said, smiling at Grizz as she walked towards her car.

Cory had been on edge for the past week, with Lexie still hiding. She wasn't scared of Lexie, of course. But the girl helped kill Cassandra, who knows what she'd do to Cory.

As soon as Cory got home she ran straight to the shower, saying a simple hi to Harry.

Once she got out she got dressed into a black button up and blue jeans then blow-dried her hair.

"Are you ready?" Cory asked him as they walked to the car. Harry shrugged quietly.

"Um Cory, when I go up... you have to promise me you won't leave me." He looked at her with worried eyes. She looked at him confused, grabbing his hand and squeezing it. "Of course I won't Harry." She whispered, kissing his cheek. "I just, I don't want to be alone. And I need you." Harry mumbled, looking out the window.

Cory was worried about Harry, he had been quiet and shut off since Allie announced the trial and asked Harry to speak. But seeing as Harry didn't want to talk about that night, Cory didn't push him.

Once they arrived, they sat in the front and waited for it to begin.

"I love you, Sloane." Harry whispered, holding her hand as it rested on her thighs. She pulled him in for a quick kiss, leaning her forehead against his, "I love you too."

As Dewey walked in, he glared at Harry before sitting down. Helena soon sitting next to him with a disturbed look on her face. The jury stared at Greg Dewey with disgust.

"Okay, let's start." Allie said, pulling the microphone towards herself. "Hello?" She spoke into it after a loud ringing. "That works." She chuckled.

"So., Um, I think when you do something for the first time, part of you thinks that you're just pretending. I'm not this person, I'm just putting on the clothes." She said as she looked over at the Jury. "And this is so weird. I mean, we've all seen it on TV, but... Actually, I think that just makes it worse." She sat up, messing with her pen. "A week before my sister died, um... I was complaining about how crazy it was  that we had to take care of everything. You know, everything was our decision. And she was like, 'Really? Well, Alexander the Great conquered the whole world when he was our age.' So... Which was kind of annoying of her."

Cory laughed quietly, leaning against Harry.

Throughout the crowd, people chuckled at her words.

"Well... We own it all now. The good and the bad. And it's for real. This is the trial of Greg Dewey, who is accused of the murder of Cassandra Pressman the night of June 23rd. Gordie will be the prosecutor. Helena is defending Dewey. And you guys have to listen to everything carefully. And at the end of the trial, you'll decide if he's guilty or not." She told the jury then looked back over the crowd, "Everyone got it?" She asked them. The crowd stayed silent.

Gordie stood up and opened the box, pulling out the jar that contained the bullet casings.

"Those were found near Cassandra's body on the morning after she died. I found them. They're the two casings to the two bullets that killed her. Not the actual bullets." Gordie explained, handing the jury the jar.

"You know, the casing get ejected after each bullet is fired. The casings remain intact. If you notice, they have a head-stamp which indicates that they were made by a particular manufacturer. It's a company called Precision Target. I mean, they have 'PT' on each of them." He informed them, walking to the middle.
