TMA day
"All systems are a go."
"Music is cued."
"Places, the boys are at the corner of the stage."
"Okay, you're on in 3, 2, 1, go ahead! Good luck, boys!"
Ateez ran out to the center of the stage, and the music for Guerrilla's started to boom loudly through the venue.
"They're doing so well," Sam muttered from next to me as we watched them in awe and emotions full of pride, "this choreography is almost elite level; I'm glad Yunho took the lead and helped me with it."
"Right?" I breathed out, not able to take my eyes off their movements.
"They get better and better every time," Byeol sighed as she kept herself fixated on their performance. Sam froze slightly next to me, and I laughed at him for a moment, thinking he was just talent shocked, before questioning, "what?"
Sam slowly pointed his hand straight ahead of us, and on the other side of the stage stood Bangtan, watching Ateez perform intensely. My eyes widened slightly, and I quickly moved my eyes back toward sam. Byeol's eyes almost popped out of her head when she saw them, and I saw her subtly fix her hair.
"I'm not that surprised. They meet each other after their performance. They probably wanted to see them dance," I shrugged off as I kept my eyes trained between Sam and their performance.
"It's just crazy. They're getting so popular so quickly. I'm so proud of them," Sam engulfed me in an excitable side hug, and I looked at him briefly before nodding with a smile, "so am I, Sam. So am I."
Guerrilla quickly switched into the real, and their energy raised even higher. Their performance continued to get better and better as their time on stage went by. Near the end, they all jumped around in a circle, leaving Jongho to do his own thing inside as they ran crazily around him, a great smile across his face as he went low to the ground, then back up and gave a small twirl.
"ireon ge baro meoshibnida," Jongho spoke the final Words to The Real, and they all bowed in the center of the stage. The lights faded while the crowd screams still rang through the venue. Sam, Byeol, the rest of the crew who stood by, and I all clapped along with the crowd as the boys came running back toward us.
"Amazing job, gentlemen," I praised as we retreated to their dressing room. Their breaths came out harshly as they finally stopped moving their bodies for the first time in 8 minutes. The guys immediately started to change and get ready, Wooyoung putting on layers of deodorant and a good amount of cologne.
"I can't believe we're about to meet BTS-sonbaenim!" Wooyoung giggled as he put on his dress shoes.
"We just completed a performance at the TMA's in front of thousands, and that's where your mind is at?" Hongjoong joked as he went back behind the curtain to change.
"Is that not the more exciting part here?" Wooyoung exclaimed as he stood up, and stood next to me, his ability to get ready this fast still shocking me after two years. Wooyoung was bouncing heavily in place as the members, one by one, came out of the room to stand next to us in the hall.
"You all did great, and I am very proud of you. If you don't win anything, there will be hell to pay," I acknowledged as Jongho approached me for a high five.
