I had been back in the rehearsal room at BigHit for almost an hour now, and Yoongi was still nowhere to be seen. It was starting to get a bit odd.
No one said anything, though; things carried on normally.
Thankfully, the idols went straight to work, so I could peacefully get work done on my laptop on a couch in the corner of the room.
The area was nice because, between the mirrors and the boy's focus, I could people-watch. Hoseok continued to look my way, which I avoided. Seonghwa and Hongjoong were still actively ignoring each other, while Jungkook and Wooyoung teamed up to bug their group mates. It seemed like a normal day.
A few more minutes of work passed, and the sound of the door opening and shutting distracted me from the deep focus I had on my screen.
Yoongi had arrived.
Although this time, he looked pissed. Furious even.
Once I noticed his expression, I returned to my computer. I didn't have the energy to keep trying to figure him out.
This would have to wait.
But no matter how hard I tried to keep staring at my computer screen, my head swam with thoughts over our conversation on Friday.
I was only pulled out of my thoughts by a groan coming from in front of me, and by instinct, I was off the couch and over to the boys in seconds.
Once I reached where they were standing, I saw Seonghwa on the ground, clenching his knee.
"I told you not to fucking overdo it," Hongjoong grit, Seonghwa hissing either in pain or in response to his comment.
"Unnecessary, Kim Hongjoong," I muttered as I pushed between Hoseok and Jimin to crouch next to Seonghwa.
"What happened?" I asked him as he attempted to flex his leg, which proved impossible based on the sounds he made.
"He tried a move he knows he shouldn't do-"
"Enough!" I bellowed at Hongjoong, the two boy group members around us raising their brows in shock, "he's hurt; have some compassion for your members, captain," I reprimanded with a heated glare, and he backed off. I was already pissed off enough due to the events on Friday, this wasn't helping.
"Here, let me help you stand up. We can walk to their nursing unit and get you some ice and a wrap," I murmured to Seonghwa, wrapping my arm around his waist to help lift him. San got the jist of my struggle and wordlessly walked over to help with his other side.
"I'll be fine. I just need ice," Seonghwa muttered helplessly, his weight leaning more on my side, his arm wrapping around me to hold himself up. The position looked compromising, and I didn't want to even dare look in any of the Bangtan members' directions.
They were all too aware of my past relationship with the two Ateez members.
"San, will you help me walk him there?" I asked him, and he immediately nodded, "Absolutely."
"What happened?" Sonni asked as he sprinted back into the room.
"He hyper-extended his knee while doing a move," San explained, and Seonghwa nodded, embarrassed.
"Don't you think Sonni should take him? You shouldn't carry too much weight," Hoseok commented, and I had to physically bite my tongue to avoid saying anything. It didn't help that Seonghwa was probably lighter than I was; it was almost embarrassing. But in reality, I didn't have to say anything at all. It seemed Yoongi had nothing to say either.
