"Game time sounds like code for a night full of insanity," I said with a light chuckle to Yoongi, who now sat shotgun in my Hyundai Grandeur. After we got out of the elevator, Jimin and Hobi said they wanted to get back to Jungkook's to make sure they weren't late for the game, but Yoongi insisted on coming back to my apartment with me so I could change and ride back to Jungkook's together.
I didn't mind one bit.
While the first night I spent hanging out with Bangtan was fun, I truly enjoy my alone time with Yoongi.
Who now sat suspiciously awkward next to me.
"Insanity would be correct," Yoongi mumbled as he played with my hand, his eyes straight ahead on the road.
I peered over at him and cocked an eyebrow. His face was set somewhat perplexed, and his hand was relentless at fidgeting with mine.
"Yoongi."
"Cova."
"You're anxious," I stated matter of fact, and he merely shrugged.
"I'm chill."
I snorted and shook my head. He was indeed not chill.
And it didn't take an idiot to understand why. He was completely fine until Hongjoong had his little moment in the elevator, and it wasn't until then that he became awkward like he is now.
"Yoongi, about what Hongjoong said-"
"It's not that," he cut me off, his body language not showing a hint of agitation as he answered.
"Then?" Seonghwa I wouldn't badger because we're not dating, Yoongi on the other hand, I'd do my best to try and get it out of him without crossing any boundaries.
I wanted to leave him alone, but I also wanted to make sure he was okay.
But unfortunately to my dismay, he stayed silent the rest of the way to my apartment.
Once I parked, I paused my actions of getting out to see if he'd speak further, but after a few more seconds of silence, I began to get out of the car.
Yoongi followed, but as he looked around the empty parking garage, he stopped and put his hands in his pocket. The perplexed look back on his face.
"This is your last chance," he spoke very unsurely, his arms swaying with anxiety as his hands remained in his pockets, his feet glued to the spot on the concrete floor.
I turned around and looked at him, an expression of confusion masking my face.
"Last chance for what?"
Yoongi looked around once more before taking one step, then stopping, re-planting his feet to that new spot.
"I'm giving you an out."
An out?
My entire body turned jittery. Why was he saying this? If this was Hongjoong's conversation in the elevator, I'd definitely say I was confused how it led to this. As open with me in front of them as he may have been, it was anything but inappropriate, if anything, the timing was off.
"Why are you giving me an out?"
One more step, his body now a mere feet from mine.
"I'm giving you an out. I saw how he looked at you today."
My head tilted in confusion. Hongjoong? Nothing about his looks or body language said anything that said he was coming on to me, and I was positive neither did mine.
