Jongho called it. This trip was indeed fun, note the sarcasm.
Hongjoong remained in a shit mood the entirety of the 4-hour drive, which of course most of the members noticed but ignored, the only person rivaling his terrible mood being Seonghwa.
I was silently praying this mood was due to the fact they had their own shit going on, and not that they were begged into submission to attend a concert of the man I essentially dumped them for.
I kept having to keep myself in check. Not everything was about me, it probably was about something else.
It totally was.
Right?
Wooyoung, wearing his grey sweatpants and a black sweatshirt, kept arranging his black hat on top of his head as he sat beside me in the front seat.
"If you keep messing with your hat your hair is going to fall out with the movement," I teased and knocked the tip of the hat so it covered his face.
"Yah! It's just not sitting right and it's hurting my head," he mumbled and continued to arrange it.
"Then take it off," San mumbled from the seat in the back behind him, his eyes closed as he attempted to get sleep between Wooyoung showing him random TikToks. His body shifted as he tried to get comfortable.
"No, my hair looks terrible," he whined and took his hat off to prove his point.
San tilted his head and looked at him, Yeosang lifting his head to check his hair out as well, before both of them responding in unison, "True."
I had to cover my mouth as a string of curses exited Wooyoung's mouth at the pair now laughing loudly behind him.
"Can you guys be quiet? Some of us need sleep," Hongjoong snapped from the furthest back seat, his hat now covering his eyes.
I had to take deep breaths to avoid snapping, his attitude was pissing me off.
Wooyoung must've noticed this because he tilted his head towards me and smirked.
"You have no retaliation?" The younger taunted, his smirk widening as I snapped my head to him.
"Don't let her start," San coughed out and turned his head out the window.
"Hongjoong, put in headphones if he's bothering you," I simply put and slapped Wooyoung in the process.
"Or he could respect my need for quiet," the leader snapped back.
"Or you could-"
I was about to let him have it, but he was saved by the bell of my phone ringing.
"For the love of everything good-" I grumbled as I read who was calling me, "what the hell does he want now?"
"Who is it?" Yeosang questioned as he handed Mingi a piece of gum.
"My brother," I grumbled and reluctantly answered.
"Yes, Matthew?" I answered with a sassy tone.
"What's up fucker? I need help."
I rolled my eyes as I heard the snickers of laughter echoing through the car.
"You're on speaker and I'm with Ateez, you peasant," I groaned as the K-pop group members continued laughing, obviously sans the two grumpy eldest in the back.
"If I said sorry I'd be lying. Anyway, back to my point, I need your help. Daniel is betting me that I don't know our great grandma's name."
I blink at the FaceTime screen for three seconds before rolling my eyes, "And I'm assuming you're calling me because?"
