Episode 15 Part 1

The commander hadn't returned in a while.

That "while" was all of three days,

The Battle of the Bulge was TOMORROW, and so far, there wasn't any reinforcements or anything,

The weather was absolutely terrible. The whole day was filled with endless snowing.

Planes couldn't take off or anything.

So that means no air support as expected.

The crews usually got sent out to do patrols in the M36s,

They always found nothing.

Either way, tomorrow morning was when everything went down.

December 16th 1944

The supposed start date of the Battle of the Bulge.

Sharführer Jodl looked at his watch.

He had been taken out of the forest a few days ago, to go link up with other German forces about to commence operation Wacht Am Rhein the offensive that was supposed to cripple the allies.

He did link up with a few Germans, but strangely,

The order to attack was never given.

Hmn?

They were preparing this offensive for months, would they cancel it on such short notice?

Their radio crackled to life.

The orders were completely different.

He, and 149 other tanks and infantry support, were to attack the very same allied base camp he was scouting for so long a few days ago,

Something about the Allied supertank?

Either way, this was an overkill attack,

"Panzer Vor!" The call came out from over the radio

"Panzer Vor," Jodl said to his crew

And they were off.

Well, it was December 16th but so far nothing,

Carm immediately assumed the worst.

Was the commander found by Krauts on the way there?

Did the Nazis have his book?

He needed to find out......

Carm and Ralph walked through the snowy woods.

Weapons in hand.

They'd figured out how to use them on their days at the camp.

Carm still had his phone on him, so he'd use that to take photos or videos.

It was far more compact, and had better resolution and filmed in color

Unlike the cameras of the time.
