"Ugh! There has to be away out." I hiss.

I couldn't believe what just happened. One minute there was peace and now everything has changed. The empire looks totally different. Smoke fumed in the sky. Metal dragons lay dormant at every corner of Teca. Lord Shen sits on the throne acting like he's a king. He's not a king. He's not even a good prince. He's a sickness. He infects my people.

I watch them work on a wall that surrounds the entire city. Everyone looks so miserable. The wolves torture the men who are too slow or are trying to resist. I couldn't do anything because I was in a cage fit for a bird. There wasn't much room. The iron was strong, must be made of the same thing that Shen's weapons are.

"You think I'm a monster?" He asked.

"I think you're worse than a monster." I huffed.

He stood up. He walked over to me. Wolves pointed spears at me just to make sure I don't do anything stupid.

"I'm only doing this to secure my rightful place on the throne of Gogmen city. When my father comes, he will see me as a true heir not a failure."

"Why did you do it?" I asked.

"Why did I do what?"

"Spare mi Papa?"

Shen let out a breath.

"You." He said.

"What?"

"He talked about you highly. You and I have proud fathers who care about us. Or at least I thought my father cared about me, I was wrong. I couldn't take your father's life because I guess I wanted the daughter to have a father."

I could cry for him. I could never imagine what Shen felt when he was banished. He does have a heart, I guess.
