I walk to my father's throne room in this palace. I open the doors. I have to win, but what comes then? What comes after I defeat him if he doesn't defeat me? Will I have to do the thing I've always couldn't do? Will I have to kill him? I decide it's best not to dwell on it. There's a strong possibility that he might kill me.

"What's the matter son? You looked stressed." He said.

I bow.

"Nothing's wrong." I say.

He walked over to me.

"A wolf told me that the prisoners have escaped." He said.

"That's... bad." I say.

"It is." He started.

He started circling around me. His eyes felt like a frost.

"Especially since you were behind it." he said.

"I don't know what you're talking about." I lied.

"I think you do." He said.

He punched me in the gut. I fell back.

"My own son! You are a traitor." He said.

"No... if anyone's the traitor it's you." I say.

I point my spear at him.

"By the right of royalty, I challenge you for the throne." I say.

"You challenge me?" He chuckled.

"Don't tell me your afraid father." I say.

"Very well. I accept your challenge." He said taking out his sword.
