Arohi and Abhimanyu spend a week in the honeymoon suite in Shimla, trying to find a common ground. On the last day, she came to terms with the fact that she was married to Abhimanyu and there was nothing she could do about it. Because there was no other option she had right now. She was married to the Heartbreaker called Abhimanyu Singhania who claimed to be a Heartthrob.
These five days he teased her to his heart's desires. She may not or may not have gotten revenge for the teasing too. He was impossible sometimes. She was sad and stressed at the turns of the event and he was cracking jokes like his life had not turned upside down in a single night. Now, they had to live with the consequences of his heropanti.
Before leaving for Delhi, they went to her natal home to meet her father. Dev Kumar was happy to see that his daughter was doing well. His son-in-law gave him full updates on how Arohi was doing. In these five days, both of them had advanced a lot in their relationship. Earlier Dev was worried that his daughter would not be happy but when he talked to Abhimanyu more and came to know what kind of man he was, it became easier for the father to trust this man for his daughter.
When Abhimanyu and Arohi reached Delhi, the Singhania family conducted a few rituals with only close family members. Arohi was happy that she didn't have to deal with so many people and only the immediate family was there and the people were not so many in number. The first and second day in Delhi were spent in rituals and doing all sorts of pujas. Although it was exhausting for all of them, physically, mentally and emotionally, they were trying to do their best. It was not Abhimanyu and Arohi whose life has changed all of a sudden but the entire Singhania family was affected.
The third day in the Singhania family, Vihan dragged Abhimanyu with him to hospital. Arohi found out that Abhimanyu was joining the family hospital. Slowly, a month passed with Abhimanyu and Arohi figuring out their new life. She and Abhimanyu didn't fight with each other and neither did she throw a tantrum after that because it would not change anything and would only create problems for herself as well as everyone.
Arohi was in her bedroom when someone knocked on the door. The maid was standing on the door and said, "Archana Madam is calling you downstairs."
When Arohi reached downstairs, she saw Lata and Ahana bickering over onion fritters and Archana was reading a book a little away from them.
"Mom, you call me, " Arohi softly asked.
"I called you, " Lata said with a smiley face. "We are watching a horror movie. Join us."
Arohi shuddered. "Dadi, I will just sit with Mom."
Lata pouted but didn't say anything. She was hoping that Arohi would join the team movie but she did not. It looked as if she had to up her game to add her in her team.
Arohi took a seat next to her mother-in-law and heaved out a sigh.
"Are you scared of the horror genre?" Archana chuckled, turning her eyes from the book to her daughter-in-law.
"Dadi has a weird taste in horror movies, "Arohi whispered and Archana nodded her head in agreement. When she looked at the book that her mother-in-law was reading, she asked in excitement, "Maa, you like historical romance?"
"I like anything by this author, " Archana said, showing the book cover.
"Even if it meant mom will cry all night, " Ahana commented with a laugh.
"You don't know the beauty of a good book. So, what if it's sad? The author is able to move you to ugly tears. This explains why this book is so good, " Archana said with a huff. Her child hated sad endings and it was not her fault. Tragedies are the best kind of books in her opinion.
"I agree, " Arohi said with a nod. "Maa, have you tried Chains of Desires by the same author? Except for this one, there are so many good books."
Just like this Archana and Arohi began discussing their favorite books by the same author. Archana felt as if Arohi put forward the view that she had not seen before. The book that was heart wrenching initially became even more emotional to her.
It was not just the books where their interest met, Archana and Arohi realized that they were similar with their approach to life and many other things. This book discussion only solidified the bond that they had created in the last few days.
