Author's Note: Hello, lovelies! Just wanted to announce that my first Levi x Reader Oneshots book recently hit 3 million reads! Thank you all so much for the time and attention you give to my stories!

Excitement flooded you as you and your comrades arrived in town, immediately immersed in the sights and sounds and smells of Autumnfest. It was something you looked forward to every year, and while you did feel a small ache at the thought of all the friends you'd lost recently – the friends who wouldn't be here to celebrate with you – you were glad for the opportunity to take the day off and enjoy the festivities with the Scouts that were left. After everything you all had suffered, you deserved a break and a chance to have fun.

The town was bursting with crowds and cheers and laughter, and you eagerly took everything in. Familiar festival games, like bobbing for apples, keg rolling, keg tossing, stein racing, cornhole, eating and drinking contests. Theater performances on temporary stages. Musicians playing for anyone who wanted to dance. Corn mazes hosted at nearby farms. Countless food stalls selling delicious-smelling traditional foods, like oversized pretzels, soup, pies, strudel, roasted almonds – and no shortage of beer, either. People packing into tents and around picnic tables to consume whatever they bought before going back for more.

There hadn't been this much food – or any eating and drinking contests – in several years. After losing Wall Maria, scarcity had prevented the common folk from indulging or wasting. However, now that Wall Maria had been reclaimed, along with all the land beyond it, there was plenty of food and drink to spare. Knowing you'd had a hand in that, seeing how happy everyone was...it was enough to make you smile, enough to dull the ache of everything sacrificed to get here, just a little.

Most people were dressed in traditional lederhosen and dirndl for the festival, and seeing them made you want to glance down and admire your own outfit for the hundredth time since you'd gotten dressed this morning. It wasn't anything too fancy, but you thought it looked cute, and you thought you looked cute in it. You hoped a certain grumpy captain thought the same.

You stole a glance at Levi, who was standing at your side. He'd been adamantly against wearing lederhosen, but he had dressed in casual clothes – and the rarity of such a thing made it quite captivating for you. Besides, he looked absolutely stunning in his beige trousers, white button-up shirt, and brown vest.

"Be back at the barracks by sundown," he instructed his squad. "Eren, Armin – you two are never allowed to go off on your own. Understand? Even if you're taking a piss, one of the other brats had better be with you."

"Yes, sir!"

"Good. Now, get going. And don't cause any trouble," Levi muttered.

The teenagers rushed off. It might've looked like he was doing them a favor, giving them the chance to let loose without their superior present. But in reality, they were doing him the favor – by leaving him alone with you.

"So, what should we do first?" you asked, drifting a bit closer to him.

You knew he wasn't comfortable with overt displays of affection in public, but you'd learned he did enjoy more subtle touches, like the brush of an arm or a hand on his waist. More than enjoying them, those touches settled him – reassuring his subconscious that you were still here, still alive. The same rang true now, as your shoulder pressed against his, and he breathed a faint sigh, relaxing into you.

"You pick," he grumbled. "I don't really care."

You smiled adoringly. You were used to Levi playing it cool, but you were certain he'd have fun today. "Well, it is almost lunchtime. Wanna grab something to eat?" you suggested.
