26 - The Chase

No one's POV:

"WE DON'T HAVE TIME TO PACK EVERYTHING JUST GET THE IMPORTANT SHIT, ESPECIALLY THE INFORMATION WE CANNOT LEAVE THE INFORMATION BEHIND!!"

As everyone was rushing to pack things, Crepe and Mushroom were tying Custard's arms and legs together, who was having a fit and trying to get away. The C.O.D was running against time, and as the time shortened, Gingerbrave and the others were getting closer to the group's tent.

"Crepe, Mushroom, get over here!" Y/N called out, holding two bags. Both children ran over, having to bring Custard with them, who continued to struggle. Y/N made both of the turn around and got the bags onto them, strapping them tightly so they didn't fall, and explained, "Even though you two already know this, we need you guys to run back to the castle with this information and we need you to go as fast as you can, do you understand me?" Mushroom nodded, being in a bit of too much shock to speak due to the situation. Crepe nodded as well, but responded with, "Who's going to take him?" and pointed to Custard. Y/N looked at the abducted child, who looked back at them, not knowing what to say at first, but then came to the decision. "If you can, use your giant arms to carry him." Y/N said, standing up, "None of us are going to be able to, since we'll all most likely be busy fighting."

Crepe and Mushroom looked at each other, concerned expressions on both their faces, but they looked back to Y/N and nodded, acknowledging what they had to do. Crepe then summoned their mechanic arms, and picked Custard up, who tried to scream, but it was muffled since he had a cloth over his mouth to prevent it. "Now go!" Y/N ordered, going back to packing things. Immediately, the three children were off into the woods, leaving the seven members to pack and defend themselves, as the enemy team was less than twenty feet away from the group's campsite.

No one's POV (But with Mushroom, Crepe and Custard)

The two out of the three children ran, as the other was carried, into the woods.
As the two ran, the child in the robe began to slow down, their robe getting in the way for the first time ever. Crepe noticed, and groaned, "Of all times for your robe to get in the way, why now?!" "I dooon't knnoow!" Mushroom responded, nearly tripping over, but catching themself. "Hold on!" The pink hair child sighed out, stopping for a moment and turned around. "Reach into my pocket, there's a pocketknife there, use it to cut your clothes a bit shorter so you're not tripping!"

Mushroom hesitated at first, but shoved that fear to the side and moved towards Crepe, and grabbed the pocketknife, flicking it open and went to start cutting off some of the fabric to their robe, cutting it up to the shin and shoving the fabric into a dead log. "Why are you doing that?!" Crepe exclaimed, when Mushroom spat out, "It's so they don't know we were here!!"

Both kids became startled at this. This was the most Mushroom had spoken out without their words slurring. Custard didn't understand why both were acting like this, looking between them. Both of the nonbianary's had to shake the shock off, for they were supposed to be running. And that's what they continued to do. Picking up their pace, now being able to go faster, they ran towards the direction of their home, as things began to worsen with the ones that stayed behind.
