The sky is an unnatural shade of crimson, as if someone had dumped pigment all over a once blue canvas. It smells of burnt wood and heated metals, a sharp tinge of something rotting hits my senses. Then I see people.

Children being carried by their parents, men, women, elders- dressed in foreign clothes. They're all running the same direction, and doesn't bother looking back. Their faces are blurred by some sort of black fog, but their expressions couldn't be of joy. Screams echo through the destroyed city that could barely be recognized. The grounds have cracked and can be seen slowly sinking into the black sea below.

There are strange black and red cubes floating in the air, following one another slowly in rows. It was a beautiful yet horrifying phenomenon. Everything seems burnt and swallowed by flames. Even the grass I stand on is scorched to the point nothing but ashes remain. Distracted by the scene, I almost miss the peculiar shaped forms of technology all around myself.

My head hurts. This is a dream, you're not supposed to feel pain in dreams. And if I was having this much of a headache in the real world, I would've surely woken up.

The last thing I see is the bright full moon, shining without faltering in the sky above. Shining like there's no tomorrow, mocking the people down below.

Like that, the scene suddenly changes. Now I'm in a huge building with expensive furniture and all sorts of mechanisms I cannot tell the purpose of. I'm not the only person who occupies the space. Other than myself, there are two other people. The woman is weeping in the man's embrace, while her assumed to be husband is attempting to comfort her. Only the bottom half of their faces are visible. A golden chest plate with a four cornered star symbol shines on the male.

This scene lasts a short while as everything in my sight is licked up by flames. The two people don't scream or flail. They only hold each other firmly as the burning heat swallows. I want to reach out to them. But I can't move from my place, nor utter a single squeak. Eventually, they fade away and is replaced by a new sight.

I'm standing on the hugest tree root I've ever seen in my life. The tree itself is ginormous, a beautiful glowing silver with pink leaves above. Its many roots spread out all over the space, but the giant plants appears to be floating mid air. Only a bottomless void of pink is down below.
