Too good too be true. That's what they all say right? If something makes you so incredibly happy that you feel ontop of the world, then it is all a facade. Well they were right. Vicky knew that as she sat on her cell floor, alone and frightened, but most of all, she was angry. So angry that her own father, the man she trusted with her life has sold her out to the police. But why, vicky couldn't figure it out

Maybe they offered him money, protection, gratitude, power, glory? Or maybe, just maybe, Thomas shelby couldn't stand the thought of having a murderer as a daughter. Vicky rested her banging head against the wall, feeling like the worst hangover ever. Her eyes were puffy and sore from crying all night. She wasn't scared. Death was coming to her be it from cancer or the noose. Vicky was betrayed, stabbed in the back by her own flesh and blood. It hurt like no other wound, gaping open, causing a despairing agony to course through her body

Vicky didn't know how long she's been in jail. Sleeping constantly with nothing else to do, it could've been days or hours. All she knew was that since being here, she's been given 1 glass of water, a slice of bread and some potatoes. Her body felt weak, not taking her medication at the right times could be fatal and it was beginning to show by the gray colour which had swept over the poor girls cheeks. Without bouncer, vicky didn't dare stand up from fear of seizing and cracking her skull

"This is fucking ridiculous! I need my medication or ill die" vicky screams, dragging herself closer and banging on the door. It takes a while before the slats open and an office is stood looking at her

"You are under legal obligation to keep me alive until I'm sentenced. Please, I need my injections and pills or I don't think I'll last another night"

"You shelbys think you can do anything. Go round murdering people because none of you learned how to control your anger. Well guess what, in here, you don't get the luxury of health after you deprive oxygen from others. Now shut your mouth before I put my cock in it to shut you up" vicky knows better than anyone when a battle is lost

"Can you atleast tell me about my dog? I'm worried about him, he's had no part in this and was just trying to protect me" vicky cries but the officer laughs before shutting the slats again. With a scream of anger, vicky shoots up and begins pounding on the door, crying. With tears fogging her vision, she kicks the wall roughly, needing to release her anger. Perhaps the officer was right, maybe the shelbys can't control emotions.

Vicky collapses to the floor, worn out and overwhelmed. She needed some sleep, but it was hard when she knew she may not wake up again. As her eyes closed and her sniffling came to silence, her dreams were filled with dark memories

Memory

"It's not fair" vicky cried as Tommy wiped her tears away kissing her forehead

"I know honey, but this is something we all have to go through at some point. And it's only one test, you'll catch up vic" Tommy reassures her. Vicky had been crying because she failed all her end of term exams, but Tommy was by her side and helped her study to ace the next ones

New Memory

"Mummy" vicky squealed as her mother got back from work, lifting up the little girl into her arms

"Oh my love, what are you doing still awake?" Dotty asks kissing vickys head and sitting down on the sofa, vicky on her knee

"I couldn't sleep....there's a monster under my bed"

"Oh dear, that's not good. Want me go up there and kick it's arse?" Vicky nodded her head happily, grateful her mother would always be with her"

End memories

"Mama, please, please help me, I need you" vicky woke up crying, curled in a ball. Her stomach was on fire, legs shaking and forehead sweaty. Vicky wanted to sit up and sort herself out, but she had not the energy to do so. Feeling weak and disgusted with herself, vicky vomited onto the ground beside her, a trail of puke and blood left around her lips

"Help" vicky muttered quietly although even the mice couldn't hear her. It was torture! For half an hour, vicky slipped in and out of consciousness, vomiting when awake and even once when asleep, until eventually, she fell asleep for 20 minutes and didn't seem to wake back up.

When an officer went to give her some bread and water, the tray was dropped to her feet as a gasp escaped the coppers lips

"Jesus christ" she crouched to the girls height and felt her forehead, panicking before blowing her whistle, terrified. Many guards rushed into the cell, all horrified by the site before their eyes, calling for paramedics to come quickly, praying they didn't lose their job or their lives over this
