It's been 4 months since everyone found out about the baby. Vicky has a bump. And everyone knows it because when she realised, she ran and told everyone. For a while, she had hated the small bump because it looked like she'd ate too much food. But when it popped, she'd never been so happy. It hurts, but vicky has decided to ignore her inevitable ending. She's trying to enjoy this pregnancy. Buying things for the baby, talking to George about the baby, doing all things any other expecting mother would do. Deep down, it stung like hell, but vicky knew how to hide it

Tommy however, couldn't hide it at all. He refused to talk about the baby and isn't at all excited. Not that anyone can blame him. He's losing his baby girl. Vicky just hoped that he'd still love his grandchild despite everything. But for Tommy, he wasn't sure if he could. He wanted to pretend it wasn't happening, pretend that it was all a horrid dream but he just couldn't do that. He tried. But he knew the truth and he couldn't even trick his brain into thinking otherwise.

George and Henry were out of town. They had gone away for the weekend to a beach house for their aunts birthday. Vicky had been invited, however she respectfully declined. As much as she wanted to go, she knew it wasn't safe to be that far from home. She was scared that something would happen and polly or Tommy wouldn't be there. Thankfully, George and Henry's family were very understanding. Vicky even got a letter from his aunt telling her that she'd send some birthday cake back with George and if he eats it, then she gave vicky full permission to make him sleep on the sofa. But vicky knew George was smart than that. No one takes food from a pregnant woman. It's suicidal

Vicky and Tommy were just walking home, arms linked as they walked through the fields. They had been on walks almost every day, making the most of their time together

"I think it's a girl" vicky said out of no where

"Huh?"

"The baby. I think I'm having a girl. I like the name Evangaline. What do you think?" Vicky asked

"Vic, love, dont"

"What?"

"Don't talk about this. I don't want to talk about the fucking baby alright? We can talk about anything else. Just not the kid" vicky nodded sadly, deciding that a comfortable silence was the way to go.

Later that night, vicky was lay in bed with bouncer. He had become extra protective since she'd become pregnant. She wasn't sure if he knew there was life inside of her. Or if he sensed thay she was getting more weak. But whatever the reason, vicky was grateful for all the cuddles. Vicky tossed and turned for hours but could not get to sleep. It seemed impossible. So, doing what all daughters do best, she stood up and went to her fathers room to pester him.

Vicky walked in and sat at the edge of his bed, shaking his shoulders softly. Tommy shot up and grabbed his gun from under his pillow, making vicky jump. Once he realised it was only his daughter, he lowered his weapon and apologised

"Sorry love. Is everything alright?" He asked, his eyes half closed

"I can't sleep" vicky whined

"You want me read to you?" Tommy asked, half joking, half not

"I'm craving fish" Tommy sighed, running his hands through his hair. Tommy struggled but eventually sat up, glaring at his daughter

"Vicky, its 2 o'clock in the morning. What do you want me to do about it?" Tommy huffed

"Could we maybe go the chippy? Please daddy. I'm so hungry. And everything else makes me puke" in annoyance, tommt nodded his head and got up, groaning

"That's a sign you're getting old. Groaning with every bone movement" Tommy only gave vicky a death glare

"Shut it or no fish. Now go put something abit warmer on" they both went their separate ways and got dressed, meeting again in the hallway. They out their shoes on and then, they were ready to go. Bouncer walked beside them and jumped into the car

"Nope. No car" Tommy said pulling him out. He was way too tired to be driving. Him and vicky liked arms before walking to the chippy. It was still quite lively out of the countryside and in the centre of the city. Clubs were still open. Pubs were crowded. Meaning the chippy was also still open. Nothing better than chippy after a night of clubbing.

Tommy, being Tommy, walked straight infront of all the drunkards, ordered 2 fish and 2 portions of chips. When they came, they began to walk home, vicky devouring her food in the process

"Wow. You really were hungry" Tommy chuckled, slowly eating his food

"I told you! Fucking starving. Ain't easy eating for two" vicky reminds him. Tommy gave her a small smile. Whilst he hated talking about the baby, he'd never seen vicky so lively. 2 in the morning, eating fish and chips, walking about and smiling. He felt like she was his own little miracle. And her health gave him hope that maybe, just maybe, she could survive and watch her child grow up

Once they arrived home, vicky got infront of the fire on the sofa

"You not going to bed?" Tommy asked sitting next to her

"I need to wait for my food to go down. I'll get heart burn othewise"

"Joy's of pregnancy" Tommy scoffed sarcastically. Vicky lay her head down on his lap, warming herself up infront of the fireplace. Within minutes, vicky was fast asleep. It's times like these that Tommy truly saw her youth. If vicky wasn't terminally ill, he probably would have gone absolutely mental at her for being pregnant so young. George wouldn't be alive, that much he knew. But he had bigger issues than his daughter have sex. He had to watch her fade away slowly. It was heart breaking. But it had to be done. He lifted his poor girl up, wrapped in a blanket, and placed her down in her bed. He covered her up to keep her warm and gave her a soft kiss on the forehead

"I love you" he whispered before leaving
