It had been two weeks since George left hospital. Him and Henry were struggling. It was such a huge and devastating change, but they knew they could get through it. Tommy had been a great help, and vicky was the best at emotional support and making them laugh when it was needed. It had been difficult for the family. But the shelbys were making it a hell of alot easier.

George had started working with Tommy. Vicky hated it but she didn't mention anything to him. He needed to get out of the house and as horrid as the job was, she didn't want to take that freedom away from him. Tommy and George had both gone to work for the day so Henry and vicky were alone with the maids

"Ugh. I'm so bored" Henry whined flopping on the sofa, his head in vickys lap as he looked up at her

"Do something then"

"Like what?" At that moment, bouncer jumped ontop of Henry's chest, licking his face excitedly

"Let's take him for a walk. Go get your coat" vicky tells him. Henry let bouncer get off and then ran to get his coat and shoes. Meanwhile, vicky watched with a tear in her eye. Everytime she did something with or for Henry, be it teaching him how to use hair gel or making up games for him, she felt a horrid wave of guilt. His poor mother should be the one doing these things with him and now she can't even watch her baby boy grow up. But she quickly wiped away her tears and dried her eyes, ready to go on a walk.

They walked all over Birmingham, stopping every ten minutes for vicky to sit down. Henry watched, the fear building up inside of him

"I don't want you to go" he mumbled, kicking at the stones

"Calm down. I'm only sitting down for a minute. Not going anywhere" she chuckled

"No. I mean when you go. Like really go...and you don't come back" the look in his eyes made vicky understand what he meant. She knew straight away but was in denial, playing it off with a joke. But now, she couldn't ignore it

"I know sweetie. I don't want to go either. But I need you to be brave. You gotta do something for me. This is really important Henry, you gotta listen"

"I'm listening. I'd do anything for you" he said sitting next to her

"I need you to keep my dad busy. I know he's not your dad. And I'm not asking you to replace him. Just ask him to drive you places and do things with you. I think having a kid in the house will help him realise that he's needed. He can't become a shell of himself. Please Henry. I'm begging you. He's gonna need you more than ever" a few tears slipped from her eyes as Henry nodded slowly

"I promise vic. Tommy's done alot for me and George. He deserves the world"

"Ha. Well I'm not sure about that. But thank you sweetie. Now come on, let's get home before it goes dark" holding one anothers hand, they turned around and began to walk home. But with doing so, they were blocked by three men in their path. Vicky gripped Henry's hand tighter, discreetly ushering him behind her

"Excuse me gentlemen" she smiled sweetly at them, trying to get past but they wouldn't allow it. Their eyes pierced her soul, staring daggers at her. She hoped they were just drunkards who couldn't even hold themselves up. But these men looked pretty sober, tall and strong. She didn't know what to do. All vicky knew was that Henry was by her side, she would die before letting him get hurt.

"I'll give you money and you can be on your way. I won't put up a fight if its my purse you want"

"We don't want your money. We want to send a message to Thomas shelby" vicky began laughing, making Henry and the men look at her as if she were man

"Be more creative. Look guys, I'm getting tired of hearing the same fucking sentence every fucking day. I get threatened on a weekly basis because of who my father is. Now, let us through, or I promise, you will regret it" the men only smirked, not believing her threat for a single second

"Well, I don't see anyone around. You may be the daughter of Thomas shelby, but I doubt you and the kid could fight of three fully grown men. This will hurt less if you hold still" one of them grabbed her wrist tightly, as Henry went to hit him, he was pushed away by bouncer who bit down on the man's leg, causing him to let go

"Run home" vicky told Henry

"No fucking way" bouncer jumped on the man's back, as another man tried to drag him off. The third criminal walked towards vicky and Henry. He gripped vickys hair, pulling her down to her knees. He didn't see it coming when Henry kicked him where it hurt, only for vicky to then punch him round the face, knocking him to the ground

When they looked over at the other two men, one was gripping his bleeding leg, a bug chunk of flesh had been torn off. The other man was slowly backing away from bouncer, shaking all over and whimpering at the growling teeth, glancing over at his friends severed leg every few seconds as if reminding himself

"What do you think Henry, do we let him go?"

"Fuck him up bouncer" with that order, bouncer jumped onto the man, causing him to smack his head on the curb. It wasn't long before all three men were lay there, hardly breathing and crying out in agony, or simply passed out from pain.

"You OK?" Vicky asked crouching infront of Henry. Without a second thought, he jumped into her arms, hugging her tightly

"He's a cool dog" he laughed

"Ye he's fucking awesome. Come on. Let's go home now" they rushed home. Well, they went as fast as they could. But with Henry shaking and vicky not having much strength, it still took quite a while. But eventually, they made it home. Never had they been so grateful to see those four walls
