"Forgive me, Your Majesty..."

"Stop bawling Lady Georgeton. You're not at fault." I smiled at her apologetically.

What harmed me was not Arcelin but a clone that was made by someone to kill me and safely infiltrate my palace. Ezra carefully explained things to me.  Hindi naman ako na trauma, siguro slight lang dahil sanay naman akong mamatay.

Magkapanabay kaming napalingon nang may sunod sunod na katok kaming narinig mula sa pintuan. Madali namang bumukas iyon. It was lady Ezra Waylen, catching her breath while trying to talk having horror on her face.

"E-empress...the Crown P-prince... GONE."

Napabalikwas ako ng tayo mula sa kama, I forgot the pain. My mind went blank my body went numb as my blood pressure went up.

"W--WHAT?!" Pakiramdam ko nabingi ako dahil hindi ko na marinig ang paliwanag ni Ezra.

Mabilis kong tinahak ang daan papunta sa palasyo ng Crown Prince, I'm running 'til Im out of breathe. Akala ko ba nasa ligtas na lugar si Odhran? Why is he missing and has been abducted?

Earlier it's Ruth and now si Odhran naman.

"Lev! Leviathan!" I called out for his name. What's the matter with that demon, he's supposed to show up in a situation like this or in a situation where he should protect me when I'm cornered but he's gone to I don't know where.

Mas lalo akong nanggalaiti nang magpakita siya sa harapan kong walang sense of urgency and emergency. He just stared at me straight with his 'I-dont-give-a-damn' look.

I raise my middle finger to his face.

"I need your help," I said, putting my hands down.

"You always are," he smirked.

"Then why don't you help me when I'm on the brink of death hours ago?! Are you kidding me? You should protect my life, you bastard!"

"Hmm. According to our contract..." May nilabas siyang scroll out of nowhere saka binuksan iyon.

"...I don't babysit." He continued as he pointed out some clauses there. I scoffed in disbelief. Napahawak nalang ako ng sentido dahil kanya.

"Wala akong pakialam. Hanapin mo si Odhran ngayon din! Dalian mo na bago kita masakal diyan."

"You're not the boss of me human!"

"Whatever devil! I said to find him now!"

Lumapit siya sa akin saka pinitik ang noo ko. Napamura ako nang tagos buto ang sakit niyon. Bago ako makaganti ay naglaho na ang honghang. Tinadyakan ko nalang ang lupa sa sobrang pagkaasar. Gusto kong pilipitin ang leeg niya nakuha niya pang ngumisi sa pagmumuka ko!

"Your Majesty! F-finally we caught after you!" Ezra and Arcelin came after me catching their breath, heavily.

"How did the Crown Prince vanish? Nasaan ang mga royal knights? They're supposed to protect his highness!"

"Yes Empress, there were knights along with his highness in the secret room of his palace, however, they were assassinated with the prince's gone, according to the report that we received from this palace, it is a man who uses spatial magic." Napamaang ako nang marinig ang paliwanag ni Ezra.

"Your majesty..."

Hindi ko napapansin na napupudpud na naman pala ang kuko ko as I'm trying to think. Spatial magic is a rare magic to use if you're just a mage. Akala ko ba elemental magic lang ang kayang gamitin ng ilang may abilidad sa magic, but I guess some are hidden in the dark and surely there was more to it than I should expect. Kagaya na lamang ng doppelganger ni Lady Georgeton...
