Although I could feel fall just creeping around the corner, the sun was still bright and warm as it shone directly on my face and into my eyes, making me squint as i tried staring at the miracle that was taking place before me.

It was almost as if Jesus had travelled back down to Earth and made it happen himself, because there was no way Alec Adams was just rejecting a girl.

I laughed in shock, or maybe relief? Thankfulness? God knows what it was.

I slowed my steps to not interrupt his rejection in any way because this, this was too good.

I wouldn't say Alec was easy or.. a manwhore per se but the girl standing heartbroken in front of him was too gorgeous and too much of his type for this to be normal.

When the girl finally walked away dejectedly, I managed to sneak up behind the boy.

"Wow." I sighed as i stood next to him, ignoring his cute little jump when i spoke. "Who is this and what happened to our Alec?"

He chuckled under his breath before running a hand through his curly hair and looking up at me with one of his infamous charming smiles. "I guess i spent one evening with you and became a changed man."

If i didn't know any better, i'd say Alec Adams was flirting with me.

"Awh don't give me so much credit, my head will inflate." I tried joking to hide how much his comment affected me. I still felt like i was living through a fever dream.

"You're right, it's big enough as it is." Alec smiled cheekily. I made a tsk sound before slapping his shoulder.

When he finally laughed, i took a moment to let out a breath of relief because this this is things going back to normal.

Talking to my friend at school, joking around without feeling a pit in my stomach. I hadn't realised i was smiling until the boy pinched my cheek.

"I'll get going now, i have to go to the office before class. I'll see you at lunch Sofia."

I hummed and waved him goodbye before heading to my locker.

That was the first normal, real conversation i had with him in a while. I didn't think my mood could be ruined today.

That was ofcourse, before i was met with the sight of my ex fake boyfriend leaning Chloé Dunver and her red headed glory against my locker and playing with her hair.

The usually bitchy girl seemed so innocent now as she smiled at him and laid her perfectly manicured hand on his bicep. I couldn't help but stare down at my own nails. Chipped nail polish on short nails. I clenched my fists before continuing my way to my locker.

I harshly bumped into them, interrupting them and making them move away.

"Oh!" I smiled at them, very clearly fakely but I couldn't care less. "Sorry guys didn't see you there." I pulled out my notebooks from my locker and shoved them in my bag. "Get right to it dont let me interrupt you."

I couldn't help but roll my eyes as i walked away from them.

Ofcourse Justin would go back to his girls the second we ended our deal, why wouldn't he? Did I really think he was staying off other girls because he wanted to? He was clearly just honouring my rules. Which was completely fine, i dont know why i was so angry about it. You could never have the best of both worlds when it came to the Adams brothers.

I shook my head to get rid of my silly thoughts when i got bumped into.

"Umf-" I didn't get time to gracefully keep myself up because I immediately fell down to my ass. I looked up, ready to give whoever walked into me a piece of my mind when i saw my green eyed best friend.
