Chapter 18

F POV

F: Could you ah~ s-s-stop that? You have been doing this since we left Iron blood.

I gently pushed her away to give some separation from her, which caused her she looks at me directly. 

Zuikaku: No.

F: Why? 

Zuikaku: It's mating season back in the base.  

I gave her a confused look, and she just sighed and sat next to me. 

Zuikaku: Girls that are foxes, dogs, and cats, will be extremely sexually active. When this time comes, they will "pleasure" themselves. But now with you here, they will most likely try to go after you and try to have a child with you.  

from what she said, I was scared. I started to tightly hug Zuikaku. 

Zuikaku: Hey calm down, I'm here with you, ok?

She looked at me with a soft smile, and I nodded. I stopped hugging her and now was laying on her shoulder, I got comfortable and Zuikaku started to use her hand to go through my hair, It felt nice, and I started to feel sleepy.  

F: Can we stay like this until we get to port? 

Zuikaku: Of course.

With that, my eyelids felt heavy and I fell asleep. 

Zuikaku POV

F looked so peaceful and had a smile on his face, But his rigging came out and it looked different than the last time I saw it. Instead of looking like every IB rigging, it was a hammerhead shark. The shark detached from his back and started to look around, it continued to do so until it noted me. It started to stare at me, circle around me, and after all of that, it opened its mouth and a speaker came out.

???: It seems that F got sleepy. I swear he is always sleepy. 

Zuikaku: You can talk?

???: Yea, I can Zuikaku. 

Zuikaku: How do you know my name?

???: I can hear what F hears, think, hell even touch. but I'm the same shark that F had but the retrofit he got recently made me look like this. 

Zuikaku: Oh, now I remember, isn't your name Friedrich? 

He nodded, but he kept looking down at F as if he was in danger.  

Zuikaku: Are you worried about F? 

Friedrich: How could I not? He is going into a place where he could be captured and you know.

I looked down at him.

Zuikaku: Of course, it's risky but he can defend himself well and I'm with him to also protect him. 

Friedrich: I understand that but I was tasked to protect him or something bad will happen. For all of us, even for the sirens.   

I got curious. What could affect everyone even the sirens? 

Zuikaku: could you tell me?

Friedrich sighed.  (Yes, the shark with a speaker just sighed💀What am I writing) 

Friedrich: I going to tell you but you can't tell anyone. 

Zuikaku: I won't.  

Friedrich: Alright, It started when I got summoned 

Friedrich POV 

Flashback

I woke up in a place that was dark and started to look around. After moving for a few minutes, I saw a woman in black and white clothing but she was talking to two other people. One was a girl that had wings on her back but she can burn marks everywhere. The other person was a guy that had a bow of a ship on his left but also had a bullet wound in his abdomen. I got closer and the woman with black and white clothing saw me.   

???1: Hello Friedrich, I'm guessing you wondering why you are here, right? 

I nodded and by now the other two just noted me. 

???1: Well there are two reasons you are here, the first reason is that you're going to help your old owner, F. 

I started to be happy to meet him again.  

???1: The second reason is a secret so we have to upgrade you for your job. 

I gave her a confused look, but then the other women chimed in. 

???2: Basically, If F dies, we are going to abandon this version of the universe and go to another version and put a different ship, or a combination of two, in said version.

The first woman nodded but then the tone of the second woman changed. 

???2: Which I stall say, the next shipgirl is going to be weird. The two ships that have been chosen to be combined have almost identical jobs, she also has two smaller ships with her because of the two different cargo, and abilities each of them have.    

???1: I know they are almost the same but it is needed.   

then the guy came in. 

???3: will she still have tentacles with her rigging? 

Both the girls looked back at him.

???2: ignore him, but  Friedrich, I need you to go help and protect F.

I nodded and a bright light started to happen. 

End of Flashback. 

Friedrich: so yea, that's why. 

Zuikaku: Damn that's not good.  

Friedrich nodded. 

Zuikaku: But that's the least of our worries right now. we are 5 minutes away until port. 

Friedrich: I know, but let's keep F safe.

Zuikaku nodded, I attached myself to F's back, and she looked down at F.

Zuikaku: Get up, we are here in port.
