Kairav joined Suhana for dinner as her mother invited him and Nayan.

"Thank you so much for the invite Aunty..it has been so long that we met each other" said Nayan holding Kairav's right hand.

"You are still the same Nayan..just like we knew you. Afraid of losing Kairav?" asked Aarti gesturing them to sit down.

"Yeah aunty..After Aarav bhai's death I am afraid to lose him too" replied Nayan staring Kairav.

Kairav was still sitting in silence while Suhana was seeing Nayan's anguish. The pain in her eyes was still visible and it was not about to delve those emotions into words. She was silent unlike the usual chirping Nayan who just loved to smile a lot.

A fresh bout of tears streamed sown her eyes as she slipped down on the cold floor and remembered what a horrid day that was and how lonely she was after that because no matter how many people were around her the person she wanted with her was not there.

"Relax Nayan..Some wounds are not meant to be healed. I know it's difficult for you to forget Aarav and so was he..We can't erase his memories from our hearts" consoled Aarti as she served with the dinner.

"But aunty..What was my mistake? I suffered so much in my life.. first my parents died and now Aarav bhaiya too left me alone. Why should I suffer so much from this life which just gave me pain only?" asked Nayan.

"Some questions don't have answers . they're better unanswered. You have had no fault beta. It's destiny..which makes us face hardships.. sometimes we face those things which we never wanted for us or our loved ones. Losing loved ones isn't easy and one can't move over the fact of not seeing them again..Moving on is just a choice not an option" replied Aarti holding her hands.

"Comeon Maa..we have Kairav here. Let's sing songs..Kairav will you please sing something?" asked Aahana sensing the atmosphere to be quite and saddened.

"But Aahana..I had quit singing. It has been so long I sang" replied Kairav briefly.

"Arey it's okay..we aren't professional ones either.. Please sing naa Kairav" pleaded Aahana.

"Okay,I would try" replied Kairav.

Kairav sang after very long time and all were listening to him without any hindrances.

The song was beautiful and it conveyed all his feelings for Suhana. Suhana's heart just melted over the words and she felt connectedness with him.

"Oh I can listen you for ages Kairav.. you really sang beautifully"said Aahana.

"Thank you so much for praising me. I don't know how it was but I hope I could sense some peace within myself" replied Kairav.

The family had dinner and they had fun discussion of Love, lies and loyalties.  Suhana's eyes depict only raw pain and laden emptiness...
The pain in those always loving and caring eyes were so unbearable that even Kairav could not afford to stare at them and turned back closing his eyes in agony...

Aahana asked Suhana to narrate one of her favourite poems which she wrote recently. After much reluctance,Suhana agreed and narrated her favourite poem which she wrote after Aarav's death.

Constantly thinking,
never to be the same.
The tears fall quickly
just hearing your name.
Silence is golden,
yet not anymore.
Silence brings thoughts
I just can't ignore.
The nights are sleepless,
dreams out of reach.
Crying in my pillow
to you I beseech.
Surrounded by family,
I still feel alone.
My heart is so empty.
This pain I must own.
I wish I could hug you
and just see your face.
But now I have memories
to stand in your place.
Gone but not forgotten,
that's what they say.
Of course that is true...
but if only you could have stayed

Nayan's eyes were brimmed with fresh tears and she could feel the pain in Suhana's heart too. The poem made her realise that she still loves her brother Aarav, but about Kairav she was unsure of.

What time has stored for Kairav and Suhana only time will answer...

Will these broken hearts be mended again, yet again?

Or

Remain broken?
