Sun & moon

chapter 9

Wednesday pov:

Enid and I had began our journey home as we wondered through the dark and cold streets. The sun has set and the moon is out. Clouds are covering the sky, there is going to be a storm tonight. Once the two of us had arrived, i had taken enid up to my room and placed her on my bed. My parents are worried about what had happened but enid and I had stayed quiet. I had placed a few pillows under enids foot to keep her leg elevated. The sound of thunder had startled the poor wolf, making her jump and whimper into her blanket. The she-wolf is more sensitive to sound than most. I crawled into the bed next to the tall girl and laid beside her.  I placed my hand on her head.

"It's okay,it's just thunder." I say calmly.

"I've never liked thunder and lightning, it scares me." Enid whimpered as the thunder struck once again.

"That's okay,I'm here and everything is going to be okay." I sighed as I ran my fingers through her hair.

Enid grabbed out noise cancelling headphones from her bag and put them on whilst trying to play music on them. I let out a small sigh as I pulled her in close to my chest. The wolf closed her eyes and drifted off to sleep. As I laid there, I couldn't help but think about what had happend today.

Who is the stalker?

Why are they after me?

How did they know that enid would get hurt?

It all doesn't make sense.

Enid pov:

As I opend my eyes,I saw Wednesday standing infront of a black bored. The small goth had written a few names of boys from nevermore on there that she knew. She was mumbling to herself.

"It can't be xavier because the stalker had a picture of the two of us together and it can't be Tyler because he's probably in jail or a mental institution but then who could it be? Eugene is too nice to be the stalker and he is smaller than me but the stalker is taller so it can't be him. Perhaps I don't know them yet... there is a possibility that somone else could have survived from the gates family and is pretending to be a student at nevermore. No that wouldn't work!" She yelled that last part as she kicked the black bored.

"Are you okay?" I ask in a raspy voice.

"Yes,I'm fine." The goth replied as she sat beside me.

"Now tell me everything, somthing about them having pictures of you?" I say.

"Well, when we first left nevermore I had gotten a message, it was a picture of me and Tyler at the weatherbane and one of me and xavier when he was giving me my phone. Then another time they sent a picture of me and you kissing when we had that picnic. And then a picture of us in my room which is why I ran over to the door the other night. Finally yesterday when we were in the woods, just before they attacked me." Wednesday explained.

My eyes widened in surprise. Why wouldn't she tell me this? I mean sure she probably didn't want me getting hurt but I did anyway.
