Their lessons continued as usual sometimes Aonung would be there other times he wouldn't but when he was there he and Eyrina would constantly tease one another. It was getting to the point the whole group noticed that the two seemed to always gravitate towards each other and Loak was salty that aonung was nicer with Eyrina than the others.

One lesson as they finished diving aonung went up to the surface on his ilu and Eyrina followed pulling his tail gently as he swam the opposite direction. He turned around in shocked and saw her smiling face which he mirrored as he watched the girl. "where are you going?" she asked curiously. "I need to go train with my father" he replied watching her curiously as she had never asked him about it before when he left the group.

When they weren't in lessons neteyam and Eyrina would hang with their new friends yuria, xolru, kit'riya and Uo'a. Xolru still seemed to have an interest in Eyrina often inviting her to pretty areas and gifting her seashells and pieces of coral that he said reminded him of her.

"meet me at the cliffside tonight?" Xolru asked a hopeful glint in his eyes. Eyrina smiled and nodded hoping this could get her mind off the chiefs son. She knew he was unobtainable and was just hurting herself by obsessing over the boy.

Xolru smiled at her before waving goodbye so he could go help his family with duties. Eyrina walked into her pod she felt conflicted she didn't like Xolru like that sure she thought he was funny and sweet but she didn't want to lead the boy on but on the other hand Aonung was never going to see her the way she saw him. She huffed to herself as she sat in her corner.

"I can feel your frustration from here what's wrong my rini?" Neytiri asked gently as she made her way over to the girl. "Boy problems" Eyrina whispered slightly embarrassed by her dilemma however Neytiris face lit up. "whos the lucky boy hm" neytiri questioned making Eyrina hide her face in embarrassment. "No boys!" she heard Jake call over as he sat sharpening his knife in the far corner.

Neytiri rolled her eyes and signalled for Eyrina to continue "I don't know one boy keeps giving me mixed signals he's either really nice or a complete skxawng and the other one is sweet but I don't know if I like him like that" the girl sighed looking at her mother for guidance who looked to be thinking. "well don't force something and follow your gut" Neytiri guided her daughter squeezing her leg as she stood up to continue with weaving Tuk a new top.

Eyrina put the pearl necklace she made on and started to make her way over to the cliff when she was stopped by Aonung. "are you free? I was wondering if I'd be able to ride again?" the boy asked confidently Eyrina smiled "sorry Aonung I'm meeting someone else today but maybe tomorrow?" Aonung jaw tightened "who?" he demanded she furrowed her brows and tilted her head "um Xolru he invited me-" Aonung growled under his breathe and stormed off the other way. Eyrina stood slightly bewildered at the boys reaction.

She got to the cliff to see a waiting Xolru. He greeted her and they sat together. Eyrina realised they'd never been properly alone before and she had no idea what to even say. The awkward silence stretched on and she couldn't bear it she couldn't help thinking that her and Aonung never had this problem. "the view is really pretty here" she muttered hoping he'd reply with something interesting to keep the conversation going but he simply hummed in response. She looked over at him to see him looking at her with dead eyes. 'please don't say he's going to try kiss me' she thought as he moved closer.

He in fact did try to making his way over to her as she backed off. She quickly put her hand against his mouth awkwardly. "oh sorry I must have misread the situation" he said clearly embarrassed as he sat back. She laughed awkwardly and the silence continued until Xolru looked down and spotted her necklace. "oh shit I had no idea I wouldn't have tried to-" he began as she looked at him with a confused expression "uhm ill just go again I'm sorry I didn't know" the boy baisically ran off leaving Eyrina to sit there even more lost.

Well that couldn't have gone worse. She quickly made her way down to the beach wishing the ground would swallow her up. She decided to go to the cave Aonung had showed her before to try hide from everyone and erase that awful memory from her mind. When she arrived at the cave she saw a figure sat on one of the rocks.

"oh sorry I can go if I'm intruding-" she began as she recognised the figure to be Aonung himself. The boy who had been plaguing her mind for eywas knows how long. "so did you guys kiss?" the agitated looking boy interrupted. She narrowed her eyes at the boys question "not that it's anything to do with you but no he saw my necklace and just ran off for whatever reaosn" she replied. Aonung looked at the necklace and a look of recognition crossed his face before he smirked for a split second.

"You're too good for him anyway" he waved off patting the floor beside him for her to sit by. Sighing she gave in pulling herself onto the rock beside him "why is everyone acting so weird" she muttered mainly to herself. Aonung just looked at her and shrugged before they heard the sound of people entering the cave. The boy quickly dragged the even more confused girl behind a rock as they heard two others enter the cave. "This is the cave of our first song I thought you'd like it" Rotxo said. Eyrina tried to peek around the corner but Aonung quickly grabbed her back shaking his head frantically. "wow its beautiful" she heard no other than Kiri reply as they heard the two sit beside each other. They then heard the sound of kissing and Eyrina nearly began laughing before Aonung clamped his hand around her mouth.

After a good 3 minutes the two finally left the cave and Aonung let out a breath he didn't know he was holding. He finally let go of Eyrina mouth making her burst out into laughter which he seemed join in. As the two looked at each other everything seemed right. It wasn't awkward or forced like with Xolru. The only people who existed in that moment was her and Aonung with his ocean blue eyes staring into her golden ones. Aonung put his hand on her cheek as she looked up at him staring into his eyes.

It was electric.

The feeling of his lips on hers as he cupped her head in his big hands pulling her closer to him whilst she put her hand around his neck standing on her tiptoes to be closer to him. They stopped resting their foreheads on one another's. Aonung began touching her necklace before whispering "don't take this off" too filled with bliss to even question his request she agreed just breathing him in.
