Aonung felt lost. A part of him wished the Sullys had never arrived at his village at least then he wouldn't feel so conflicted.

But of course he didn't mean that. How could he when that would mean he would have never met her.

The forest girl who had taken over every aspect of his life. All his thoughts were riddled with her. Everytime he was near her he would find himself finding an excuse to touch her, whether that be in lessons by correcting her posture or just messing up her hair. Anything to get her looking at him.

He thought she was beautiful. She was a Ray of sunshine that entered his life without warning changing everything he thought he knew. He noticed everything about her which was abnormal for the once self centered boy. He noticed the way her golden eyes would light up when she saw the sky would change colour, how her tail would twitch slightly when she was interested in something, and how she would bite the inside of her cheek when she was nervous.

The way her mind worked intrigued the boy, how she was always seeing the beauty in the most absurd things.

Aonung sat in his marui pod ears pinned back as he held his face in his hands. He knew she deserved better than him it was indisputable. He couldn't even bear to imagine her face when she finds out about the dare. God he felt like an asshole.

Ronal walked into the pod and immediately spotted her son. The tsahik sat beside him "what has happened?"

Aonung looked up at his mother before taking a deep breathe. Ronal frowned as her son explained the situation. "you are foolish." Aonung ears pinned back hearing those words. "but I see the way you look at her. You need to make it up to her, apologise and if she forgives you or not is up to her" Ronal spoke softly, a great contrast to her usual strong tone.

"this doesn't mean I approve of you two but if the great mother allows it to blossom I will not prevent it." Aonung smiled at his mother. She may not be the most tender of na'vi but she was caring and her connection to eywa was strong.

Eyrina was quiet the next day. Neteyam had noticed and immediately took her aside to question her.

"sister I know something is troubling you and I want you to know I am here. You can talk to me or not but know I am here" Eyrina smiled weakly at her twin and pulled him into a tight hug.

"that's all I need from you right now I'm sorry I just need time" neteyam softly pulled her chin up "don't apologise for feeling. If you need time to yourself that's fine I just don't want you to feel like you are alone" the boy smiled at her encouragingly before joining tuk.

Eyrina knew she had to face Aonung eventually. She decided she would choose how to react in the moment. Her brain was too foggy to make a decision now and she knew it would just hurt her if she kept overthinking.

She couldn't figure out if it had all been some sort of joke. The kiss had felt all too real. It had been her first kiss, the kiss that she would daydream about in her younger years. Surely it hadn't been stolen from her over some practical joke. However Eyrina couldn't find herself regretting kissing Aonung it had felt so right.

Eyrina had spent the day in the forest trying to imitate how she would act in her homeland. Climbing trees, watching the wildlife, and scavenging. This forest was nowhere near as vast or as lively as her home but it had to do.

As dusk crept closer Eyrina made her way up to the cliffside to watch the sky. She would forever be the one to get excited at the way the colours would mix in the sky. Always taking time out of her day to appreciate the sights.

She heard footsteps behind her before someone hesitantly sat beside her. She didn't need to look to know who it was.

"I had a feeling you'd be here" she didn't respond. Still watching the sky, more so she wouldn't have to face the boy beside her. He cleared his throat nervously before continuing "I want you to know I am so sorry. I didn't mean for this to happen"

"what did you expect to happen?" there was an edge to her voice. She was still angry and upset but as she looked at him her anger decreased slightly.

"I- I didn't think I would-" he stopped looking down at his hands before looking her in the eyes. His face was serious but his eyes softened as they met hers. As the sun was making its way down the sky it reflected off of her eyes making them even more breathtaking.

"would what?" she was scared to hear the answer she began to bite the inside of her cheek unconsciously.
Her tail flicking side to side with anxiety. Aonung gulped eyes flicking down before meeting hers again. "you give me feelings that I can't even put into words" His voice was soft, barely above a whisper.

Eyrina felt like her breathe had been stolen by his sentence. She could feel her heart rate increase as her cheeks began to heat up. "I didn't expect you to have such an effect on me. If I could I would do anything to turn back time and not agree to that stupid dare" he softly put his hand over hers. "I can't forgive you" his heart dropped at the sentence.

"well not completely at least for now. I appreciate you apologising though" Aonung looked at the girl, relieved she didn't completely shut him down. "I want-" he stopped himself closing his eyes and sighing heavily. "forget what I want. What do you want?" he gulped meeting her eye again.

She looked away, back at the sky. Thinking over his words. "I just want you to hold me, to forget this whole mess and just enjoy the sky" her voice was quiet and she looked bashful as she looked down at their hands.

He lifted his hand and gently moved her chin up so she would look at him. "we can do that"

He gave her the warmth that she needed in her life. As she rested her head on his shoulder, his arm holding her close she couldn't help but feel like this was where she belonged. Him holding her gently as they watched the sky a flurry of pinks, blues, and, gold.

Although Eyrina couldn't bring herself to still be angry at the boy she still wouldnt let him off easily. She wouldn't let him get away with hurting her, her kind nature didnt mean she would allow people to walk all over her.

"you owe me so much sleep" he whispered playfully making the girl roll her eyes cheerfully. "and he's back" she nudged his shoulder gently "and i could say the same to you" he grinned at her, the grin becoming wider when he saw she was still wearing the necklace. His eyes flicked back up to hers as she studied his face intently.

Their lips met. It was without warning neither of them even deciding to do it. It was as if their bodies had acted without permission. As if they both needed each other. They melted into one another, Aonung pulling her closer from the back of her head softly grasping her braided hair as she cupped his cheeks gently.

As they parted their foreheads met. "oel ngati kameie" she whispered breathlessly her eyes still closed as she savoured this moment. "oel ngati kameie my txe'lan" he breathed her in as he said it trying to memorise the feel of her on his skin.

"Eywa you are so fun to kiss" the boy chuckled as they finally opened their eyes. She pushed him gently as she stood up. He stood beside her as the two began to make their way back down to the village. "This still doesn't mean you're off the hook. I'm still mad at you you know" she said in a teasing manner. He took her hand in his gently before responding "I understand".
