Khethamahle
The "I should have" is not helping me right now, putting blame on me is not helping. I'm grateful that she's out and the evidence has been destroyed, now I need to let the family know on what's happening and I don't know how they are going to take it. I sit in my car for quite some time trying to put myself together before facing my family, I slowly take my phone and keys before opening my door making my way to the main rondavel

The moment I stepped in the house went silence, I took a chair that was near the door and I sat down while greeting them. MaSishi's face demanded answers

"I'm sorry to keep the elders waiting" Me

Silence

"I have good news I guess, she was wrongfully arrested they don't have enough evidence to convicts her" Me

"what was the evidence?" aunt Grace

"they didn't even tell me, they just apologized for the misunderstanding" Me

I felt Keesha's eyes on me

"what's confusing is that, as a family we took a decision that we won't report this matter to the police because of how things happened and the fact that he worked with people so this thing was bound to happen because he had enemies, so who decided to take that decision without consulting the family?" Mvelo

I clear my throat giving Keesha a side eye because someone tell me why is this her business

" I'm failing to understand that part also" Qaphelani

"who reported this matter?" Lunga

Silence

"if anyone here is trying to jeopardize our reputation we will not accept that, I suggest that we dig in this matter because we don't know what the person will say in the near future" Mvelo

Everyone seemed to second what Mvelo was saying, Keesha was just sitting there on her phone not even bothered by this matter. Uncle sikisi dismisses the meeting and we all leave, I had to just go back to Durban to check on Thingo I'm glad that this whole wedding has come to an end now it's convincing Thingo to move in with me because I don't think I want her to go to KwaBhukula that place has caused so much pain to her.

Mvelo
Lunga, Khetha, Tumi and I decided to leave because there was nothing left to do after the embarrassment Qaphelani said he'll stay behind with Yolanda for few days because Yolanda has to get used to being at home. The helpers helped us with our bangs and we left. The drive was quiet and awkward no one wanted to say something Lunga was playing his Maskandi songs and we decided just to let him be since we are using his car, Keesha was quiet the whole time, Tumi for the first ever was also quiet and on his phone.

"please drop me off at Thingo's house" Me

Lunga lowers the volume and adjust the rear view mirror indicating me to repeat to what I'm saying, I could also feel Keesha's eyes on me

"please drop me off at Thingo's place" I repeat

"oh okay" Lunga

"how about we all just go and check if she's fine" Keesha

Silence

"I'm tired, I want to sleep I'll see her some other time" Tumi

"yea I'm also tired besides she's not expecting us so I don't want to be that person but Mvelo can go on our behalf" Lunga

"I'll come with you then" Keesha says brushing my hand

I don't know I'm not feeling Keesha these days but whatever she wants she'll have it, I look at her and I give her a faint smile then I move my hand to take my phone.
