2 Weeks Later

The past 2 weeks weren't very eventful. I went to work as per usual, having Davi on some days, Luca helping me and Diego in the cafe, while Pedri kept his title of loyal customer. In those 2 weeks, me and Pedri became closer, meeting up after work or training and talking on the phone when we had the chance.

'Do you really have to leave?' I asked Luca, who was climbing into my car.

'I wished I didn't, but Galtier called me.' he shook his head.

I got so used to having Luca around, that the idea of him leaving me all by myself wanted me to tie him to a chair.

'But will you visit me again?' I asked driving away, towards the airport.

'Don't be stupid.' he pushed me playfully but gently. 'Of course I will. Or maybe you can come visit us.'

After I dropped Luca to the airport, I made my way to Camp Nou. Pedri was finishing training in a bit so I decided to surprise him.

Neymar's POV:

I rushed down the training centre hallway, my destination being Luca's office.

As soon as I realised that Kylian disappeared from the pitch, it meant that Luca was back. And no one knows how much I've been waiting for this...

I barged into the office, letting out a relieved sigh as soon as I saw Luca and Kylian. I closed the door behind me, but I didn't take any steps towards them.

'How is she?' I asked, my eyes meeting Luca's. Both of them looked at me in silence, with expressions I couldn't quite understand. 'How is she?'

'She's okay.' Luca nodded his head, a small smile forming on his face.

I took a deep breath, trying to fight the tears that were forming in my eyes. I started nodding my head, the thought of her happy, the thought of her finding her place, bringing me joy.

'Is she with him?' I asked after a few moments.

'You don't get to ask that. You don't deserve to.' Kylian said, looking at me disappointed.

'I just want—'

'No.' Kylian cut me off, shaking his head. 'No.' His stare was cold. 'Her life doesn't concern you anymore, Neymar. Just let her go.'

I glanced at Luca, in hope that once the boy I used to be so close with, will help me out with the situation I just found myself in.

'I'm sorry, but he's right.' Luca said after a few moments. 'All you can get from me is that she's okay.' he nodded his head. 'That she is close to putting back all the pieces from her heart.'

What the hell was that supposed to mean?!

'What the hell does that mean?' I asked confused.

'Drop it.' Kylian said, taking a step towards me.

'I just want to know...' I said quietly, wiping away the tears that managed to escape.

'You should think about your fiancé.' Kylian said sternly, my eyes widening in shock. 'Because you did give her a ring, didn't you?'

How the hell does he know?!

'It's not an engagement ring.' I clenched my jaw. 'It's just a stupid promise ring.'

'You got her a promise ring?' Luca asked shocked, his voice barely heard.

I did. And for once, I didn't know what to say. I didn't know what to do. I didn't want to look them in the eyes anymore.

I glanced between the two boys. 'Do you think I want to be in this situation? Do you think I'm happy?' I asked.

'You have no excuse.' Kylian said. 'You chose this way.'

'Because I thou—'

'Because you didn't truly love her.' Luca said shaking his head.

WHAT?!

'What?!' I asked confused.

'Because if you did, the thought of knowing you'll hurt her would've been unbearable. No matter what you thought she's done, you could've never hurt her.' Luca said blankly.

'You got to be kidding me right now.' I said throwing my arms in frustration. 'Yes, I fucked up. Yes, I know that.' I said sternly. 'But you can't tell me I didn't love her. You can't.' I shook my head. 'But what am I supposed to do?'

They didn't say anything, probably knowing that there was nothing I could've done. They didn't want me near her and that was clear but they also knew that me and Bruna was needed so that I won't be near Irina.

However, I could never win with them.

'All you can do now, is just mind your business.' Kylian said. 'Just focus on yourself, the team, Bruna...'

'Because if you seek her out and then the news about you giving Bruna a ring will come out...' Luca added. 'And it will... her heart is going to break again.' he said sternly. 'And I can't let you do that. Let her forget about you, let her move on.'

'She's friends with Carolina. Davi spends days with her, he looks up to her...' I started. 'How the hell am I meant to forget about her? We'll bump into eachother at one point, there's always going to be something reminding us of one another.'

'So you want her to cut off Davi?' Kylian asked, clearly annoyed.

That's not what I said.

'That's not what I said.' I rolled my eyes.

'It sounded like that.' he crossed his arms.

'Kylian this doesn't even concern you.' I said turning towards him. 'This conversation should've been only with Luca. Not you too.'

'Too bad, because I think I have the right to be here just as much.'

'Why?' I said annoyed. 'Because you liked her? Because you think if she accepted you because of me, you have any right whatsoever?' he took a step towards me. 'Because from what I remember, Luca is her bestfriend. Luca is the one that has every right to punch me in my face if he wants to.' I took a step towards him. 'Not you.'

'Alright, both of you, stop it.' Luca said, pushing us away from eachother. 'We stick together. That's what Irina wanted. She wanted us to look out for eachother, and you're making it really hard right now.' he said, looking at me. 'Grow up. Both of you.'

I turned around and walked out the office, straight to my car.
