A bit of bonding

The night went on like this for several hours. All of us taking turns singing songs and dancing around, over time I got to sing and dance with everyone. Oddly, MK and Mei kept pushing Sun and I up to the stage. It was honestly kinda fun to mess with the monkey as we chatted on stage, playfully shoving one another around while not messing up the scores we were getting.

At some point I even got to sing with Pigsy, we got a bit overcompetitive with one another so the dj ended our song early. Not long after that we went back to the air bnb, I stopped once everyone was inside and sat on the steps leading inside. watching the clouds slowly roll in.

"Can't lie," Sun plops down beside me holding out a glass of water. "I had some serious fun tonight."

"Same here," I sipped my water sighing looking at him. "Why were you so tense in the first place? This feels more like you...the real you."

He paused looking into his cup, his golden eyes almost appearing conflicted. I tilted my head and reached out poking his cheek lightly.

"Come on sunshine," I kept poking his cheek until he looked up at me. "I know we havent known each other for too long yet, but keeping it in sucks. Trust me i know."

He stared at me a long moment before sighing and smiles up at the clouds.

"Eh, just overthinking is all! Got myself all worked up over nothing." He sips his water leaning back on one arm.

I could tell he was lying, i knew he wouldn't open up like that. Can't expect it from him when I havent told the whole truth either, I sighed and set down my cup before thinking a moment. What to do..what to...hhmmm might be too forward, but fuck it.

"Need a hug?" I could feel the nervous smile on my face when i opened my arms. "Cmon, co-"

I stopped short when he just flopped into my arms. My arms floating there a  long moment, honestly I thought he'd laugh and make some sort of joke. Not collapse into me! I slowly wrapped my arms around him, gently hugging him. He's warm, Like he has been basking in the sunshine all day long. Now i could smell him too, he smelt like peaches and something crisp. I gave him a small squeeze and he pressed his forehead into my arm. I adjusted him and me so i could lean against the porch's support beam (pole?), just holding him for a bit.

"UH.." I cleared my throat, this is nice but a  bit awkward. "Yknow this is...the first time in a long time i've had this much physical contact."

"Wait," Sun's ears perked up and he tilts his head up at me surprised. "Really?"

"Y-yeah.." I gulped averting making eye contact. Shit opening up a bit is scarier then i expected. "I cant remember..the last time i just relaxed like this.."

Sun sits up a bit so he can study my face, my whole body wanted to avoid making eye contact. But he lightly tipped my chin so I had no choice but to look at him. He tilts his head and lightly smiles. 

"Hmmm," Sun's tail sways behind him as he thinks. "Then let's make a deal."

"A deal?" I raised my eyebrow, squeaking a bit when he suddenly pulls me into him. His big cheeky grin back on his face. 

"Yep! How about we hug sometimes? Get our physical touch time in?" He smirks wiggling his eyebrows.

"YOU PERV!" I laughed getting the joke behind it lightly smacking his chest. 

After a moment of us laughing, we got quiet. I kept my head down as i thought, is this a good idea? He could just be playing me, or using me. Well then again is it a bad thing? We both get to have a little bit of comfort, something tells me he's as touch deprived as i am. So is that considered using each other? 

"Alright deal," I looked back up at his smug face and grinned. "ONly because you're weirdly toasty."

"It's cause I'm so hot," He snickers.

I rolled my eyes and lightly shoved him to the deck, not really using any force as I stood up.

"aanndd moment ruined!" I chuckled and picked up my glass heading inside.

All i heard was him laughing as he got up to follow me inside. I went and flopped onto the couch that i claimed as my bed, ready to get some solid sleep before i met up with the shadow monkey.
