By the time I was lost, I had finally realized that I was in an Abandoned Mansion, which was left around Route 9.

Since I had come on my own towards this part of the forest, there wasn't much I could do about leaving. Besides, the whole place was too foggy for me to even see the exit.

I sighed, as I decided to sit down at one of the stairs from the Mansion's entrance. "So much for trying to take my mind off things..." I looked down at my hands and then decided to look outside.

"...Well, at least it couldn't get any worse."

As soon as I said that, it had begun to rain.

"Ugh... I really am cursed." I hung my head low, while I looked at the ground defeatedly. Looking up, I sighed once more. "I wonder how Tess and Amelie would react to all of this..." I placed my head on my left hand as I kept looking outside.

"'[Y/N], we were so worried about you, you incompetent fool.'" I tried mimicking Tess but realized that sounded too way harsh.

"No... Tess wouldn't say such things. I'm pretty sure the one who would say such things, if he were our friend, would be..."

I felt two arms sneaking up to hug me, which scared the living life out of me.

"Eek!"

I screamed, and from the scare, I immediately jump out of my position and tried summoning my sword, which didn't work. How dumb of me...

So, I instead just mimicked a battling pose from one of those movies. "I get it! This mansion's cursed but geez, don't do that you cree--"
