AU inspired by Win Metawin's ideal engagement ring
Win smiles as he watches them polish the stones until they gleam, light catching on angles, creating miniature rainbows.
He looks on as they measure the gold - heat it before forming a perfect unbreakable circle. And wasn't a circle just the perfect shape?
Unending and complete. Just like the promise he was about to make.
He often wondered why people thought he would wait for someone to take the lead and offer him forever. Was it his bunny teeth or his perrenial jokes?
Don't they know by now how he tenacious he is?
When Win sets his mind- no-sets his heart on something, he strikes.
When he is sure, he is aggressive and brave. And he has never been more sure.
The signs all point to this happily ever after.
His heart whispers for him to follow the road.
And if there is one thing 24 years has taught him - it's follow your heart. He fully intended to do just that.
Not just follow his heart but become one with him. Cherish him. Adore him.
Walk by his side endlessly, from one end to the earth and back.
The ring he was having made should be done any time now.
He will watch them as they put it in a velvet box then a bigger blue one.
Then he will place it in his pocket, the weight reminding him of what's to come.
Bright will think he is the one with a surprise. A bracelet no doubt. (He didn't really get a car right??)
But the plan is, just as Bright clasps the bracelet around Win's wrist, Win will go down on one knee - and surprise Bright instead.
He will surprise him with his dream engagement ring for the person he has dreamt of always having beside him.
And if Win was lucky, if he truly always wins - then his best friend
His partner in crime
His sunshine
His laughter
His heart
His bro
His BrightWould say yes.
Win can hope.
Because this is what he truly wants,
more than anything.
