This Black Dagger Brotherhood fanfiction novel, Brother Remembered, is the second in the Sumter Colony Fanfic series, the first being Brother Revealed. I highly encourage you to read J. R. Ward's books, both of the Black Dagger Brotherhood series as well as the Black Dagger Legacy series so the world in this book makes the most sense. However, you can pick up a lot of the details of the world as you read this book and still enjoy it a great deal since the main characters are my creation; hence I reveal their backgrounds here.
This fanfiction is not a self-insertion; it is the creation of a new offshoot based on the South Carolina Colony with newly created characters to interact with canon and its characters. It is meant to be an enhancement to canon, not a changing of it.
