((Y/n)'s Pov)

I made sure there were no signs of blood on my white hoodie before I entered the building where my father and me were living in. I ran up the stairs to the third floor and opened the door to our apartment quietly.

My father and an unfamiliar man sat together on the couch in the living room. The stranger noticed me first and waved at me, telling me to come closer to them.

"Ah, I assume this is your daughter?" the man asked my father and scanned me from head to toe. "Yes, but don't worry, she's usually better dressed," my father lied and glared with a death glare in his cold eyes at me.

"Oh, I hope not! You know, my son doesn't like fancy women," the unfamiliar man replied. "Okay, so what's your name, honey?" he smirked. "Park (Y/n)," I answered briefly. "I see, (Y/n)... How old are you?" "I just turned 23."

"Yes, she's perfect! We'll take her," the man exclaimed with a disgusting smile on his face.

"I'm sorry, may I ask what exactly is going on?," I asked politely. The smile on the man's face got even wider. "You don't know yet? Let me introduce myself. I am Mr. Kang and you're going to marry my son!"

This message turned my life upside down.
Mr. Kang was the leader of one of my rival clans and I was going to marry his son.

"I'm sorry but what if I refuse to marry your son?" I asked carefully. Mr. Kang looked at me and rose his eyebrows.

"Then you'll have our clan as your biggest enemy. Why don't you see the marriage as a peace pact? You'll have us as an ally," Mr. Kang explained with a devilish smile.

"But why me?"
"Just coincidence. My son's is quite picky about women. Your father just randomly crossed my ways and told me that you're single so my son has to marry you, whether he likes or not. Same goes to you by the way," Mr. Kang added.

I felt anger boiling up inside me. I was about to yell at Mr. Kang but my father interrupted me. "I'm sure my daughter would be glad to marry your son!"

Mr. Kang nodded and looked at his wrist watch. "I need to go now. Business is waiting," he mumbled while standing up. "I have already reserved a table at a nice restaurant about 15 minutes away from here. You'll meet my son next Wednesday at 6 Pm, alright?"

"Yes, yes, she'll be there!" my father replied before I could say a word. "Great!" Mr. Kang exclaimed while clapping his hands.
"One more thing though. Don't you dare to let a word slip about my mafia business, got that? I promised his mother to keep him away from all that and to raise him like an innocent boy," Mr. Kang threatened before leaving.

I hope this chapter was better than the other one. Btw, did I warn that the chapters will be quite short?
I see long chapters everywhere and I don't know if it's a bad thing to write short ones 😭
But regardless of what anyone says, I was trying my best
I'm always open for feedback though!

Have a nice day or night!<3
