At midnight, while sitting on a bus, three men boarded, including an old man who sat in front of the narrator. Two of the men sat next to the narrator and the old man. Suddenly, the old man accused the two men of stealing from him and insisted that they follow him to the police station. As they left the bus together, the narrator asked the old man for directions to the police station. However, the old man responded cryptically, saying that he was actually saving the narrator. The following day, the bus and all its passengers disappeared without a trace, leaving the narrator to wonder about the strange events of the previous night.
