Natalie's POV:

I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the scorching heat as we stepped out of the Dubai airport. The golden lights of the city stretched out before us, illuminating the towering skyscrapers that reached towards the sky. The hard drive we had stolen had led us to this very moment, and if it was right, that meant we were only a mile away from the hotel where Hassan was staying.

he heat was oppressive, the air thick with humidity, making it difficult to breathe. I wiped the sweat off my forehead and fanned myself with my hand, trying to cool down. Everyone had bought casual clothes to blend in with the crowds, as we couldn't afford to risk getting caught. I couldn't help but feel a sense of paranoia creeping in as we made our way to the hotel. What if we were being watched? What if we had been followed?

But the heat was making it hard to be inconspicuous. The sweat was sticking to my skin, making my clothes cling uncomfortably to my body. The noise and chaos of the city were overwhelming, with people rushing about in a blur of colors and sounds.

As we turned onto the main road, I caught a glimpse of the hotel in the distance. It was a towering structure, its lights shining brightly in the night. My heart began to race as I realized that we were so close to Hassan, the man who had caused so much pain and destruction.

I tried to stay focused, to keep my emotions in check. We couldn't afford to mess this up. We had to get in and out without being detected, retrieve whatever information we could find, and get out before anyone even knew we were there.

But as we got closer to the hotel, the feeling of unease returned. The heat was making it hard to concentrate, and the crowds were thickening, making it harder to move around unnoticed. I took a deep breath and tried to calm myself, reminding myself that we were professionals, that we could handle anything that came our way.

We parked the car a few blocks away from the hotel and made our way towards it on foot. The streets were packed with people, the noise and heat making it hard to hear or think straight. But we pushed through, our eyes scanning the crowds for any sign of trouble.

As we checked into the hotel, I couldn't help but feel a sense of relief wash over me. We were finally here, and we had a chance to complete our mission. But as we made our way to our room on the 31st floor, I couldn't help but wonder what Hassan was up to on the 48th floor.

I tried to push the thoughts aside as we settled into our rooms. We had a job to do, and we couldn't afford to get distracted. But the heat seemed to seep through the walls, making it difficult to focus. The air conditioning hummed loudly in the background, a constant reminder of the oppressive heat outside.

I had finally managed to drift off to sleep when I heard a knock on my door. Groaning, I stumbled out of bed and made my way over to the door, rubbing the sleep from my eyes.

It was Ghost, looking agitated and restless. "Hey, I can't sleep. Do you want to go on a walk with me?"

I hesitated for a moment. On one hand, I knew that Ghost needed someone to talk to. On the other hand, I was exhausted and just wanted to get some rest. "Actually, why don't you go for a walk with Katya?" I suggested. "I know you two have been getting close since the masquerade."

Ghost's face fell slightly at my suggestion, but he nodded in agreement. "Yeah, okay. Thanks, Nat."

I breathed a sigh of relief and started to close the door, hoping to get back to sleep. But Ghost didn't budge, and instead walked right into the room. I felt a surge of irritation and frustration, but tried to keep my cool.

"Is everything okay, Ghost?" I asked, trying to mask my annoyance.

He paced around the room for a few moments, before finally stopping and turning to face me. "I just can't shake this feeling, you know? Like something's not right. I don't think we should be here."
