Giyuu was shocked to see that he recognized them. There scent was as familiar as day, except that at the same time it was so hard pinpoint where and when he had known this person, there  appearance didn't ring a bell, they didnt even look remotely familiar to him.

They had a white haori, but they where covered in scars, there shirt was a uniform Of some sort, the shirt split in two at the middle showing off there equally scarred chest.

The first instinct that Giyuu's mind sent to his body was to attack. His eyes recognized him, yet his brain didn't, and in this state, Giyuu was willing to attack anyone or anything that seemed of to him.

The man, Sanemi Shinaguzawa, recognized that he was in the presence of a demon in an instant. He kept alert, waiting for an attack, clenching his fists and preparing to kill.

He put one hand on his katana, and got into a hefty battle stance.

Sensing Giyuu's presence, he charged straight towards Giyuu, his sword at his side.

"DIE,YOU FILTHY, VILE CREATURE!!!" Sanemi shouted at the top of his lungs as his eyes widened in recognition. He paused for a split second, his sword almost slowing to a stop right at Giyuu's neck, giving Giyuu just the time to duck sharply and avoid the hit.

"Wait...?!?" Sanemi said angrily in confusion, his mind racing to find a conclusion.
"Giyuu?..." he turned to face Giyuu. "What the fuck happened Giyuu?"

"WHAT THE FUCK GIYUU!" He cried, in anguish and anger, his tears flowing from both eyes and spilling all over his scarred cheeks and face.

Giyuu looked up, his memories coming down all on him in to suddenly, who he was, why he was alive and even his childhood, and people he knew. the silence had been broken. His heart took a turn, his mind wrenching his heart from the pits of his guts.

as Sanemi was crying, Giyuu began to cry too. He didn't truly know why, he just did.
And in that moment, he seemed to understand his place in the world. He (Giyuu) didn't say a word, his eyes softened, his face became a wide, open smile.

For the first time in years, Giyuu smiled. A True smile.

Sanemi looked up, startled at why Giyuu wasn't attacking. He saw Giyuu, standing there, his smile clear in the moonlight. He didn't want to say anything, too break the peace or shatter the tenuous veer that this moment of peace was carefully balanced upon.

Slowly and carefully, Giyuu walked over and wrapped his arms around Sanemi, his brain struggling to comprehend what he was doing. He didn't really mean that to be so meaningful ; he just wanted to calm Sanemi down.

Perhaps, Sanemi crying in anguish had made Giyuu remember a time when everything was simple, in his childhood, where his sister had helped calm him down by wiping his tears and by hugs. So, he thought that he should do that to.

Sanemi was dumbfounded. He had never ever slayed or even encountered a demon that so willingly let themself be slayed, or even touched by human hand. Slowly, but surely, Giyuu started to rest his head against Shinaguzawa's shoulder, falling asleep peacefully.

Sanemi didn't know what he should do, so he weighed the options. Giyuu didn't even try to attack him, so he thought it best to take Giyuu back to master Ubayashiki. He then saddled the sleeping demon onto his back, piggy-back style.

And then he started to walk back to headquarters, making sure that sunlight didn't touch Giyuu's skin.
