Chapter 28: Birthday

"Well, that is great. Then should we sign the contract now?" The man in his fifties chuckles as he complimented on one of employees presenting in front. They all clasps their hands and he blushed. Oh how cute?! I'm sure he felt so nervous kanina it was visible but he managed to do his part.

"Miss Ruiz." Miss Ruiz...

Eros or sir Eros motioned me to lean on, so I did. "Please go to my office and checked on this one sa laptop ko." I nodded. "Copy, S-sir." "Omg! Thank you! Sige I'll wait na lang."

Linakihan ko ang siwang ng pinto upang maka pasok s'ya, she walked towards the chair as I close the door. Bumalik ako sa ginagawa. Then ask her. "Gusto mo po ng kape? Juice or water perhaps?" She glanced at me and smile. "Naku no na, it's okay." Tumango na lang ako at ngumiti ng tipid pa balik. Nang matapos sa ginagawa ay nag pa alam akong lalabas na rin, and as soon as I got out sumalubong ang blankong ekspresyon ni Eros.

"Ah, S-sir may bisita ka pala." His eyes darkened as his brows furrowed. Kumunot ang noo at madiin ang pag kaka tingin sa akin. His jaw clench. "Why are you like this all of the sudden huh? Kanina ka pa. You're avoiding me." Mabilis akong umiling. "Huh? Anong sinasabi ny–"

"Didn't we talked about this already Samantha? I cleared it. Sinabi ko na sayo ang nararamdaman ko diba? Why are you like this? You're being difficult." I exhale sharply as I look away. Hindi ko rin alam, para na akong mababaliw at hindi ko talaga ma intindihan ang sarili ko.

"We'll talk when you're okay. Please fix yourself." Kasalanan ko ba yon? I'm feeling this way? Am I really making it hard for them? I'm so unstable. I can't seem to understand myself either. I sighed as I sat down my seat.

I watched him walk away and get in.

Lately, I feel like not myself anymore. I don't know, I don't get it.

On the past two days, we were all busy gagging up our jobs. We barely talk to each other, napapa dalas rin ang walang pasabing bisita ni Miss Mitchell at may mga dala pang pagkain para sa kan'ya. Everyone talks about them, I thought he never had a girlfriend? Didn't he tell me that? Or did he? Even ate Ice was in a total shock and confuse state.

His birthday came, I was away from everyone. Getting drown by the alcohols. Feeling so drain and empty. While everyone is having fun celebrating I was there alone while thinking about them in the middle of the crowd being paired up, compliment after compliment. They're all smile.

I called the bartender. "Kuya yung matapang naman, tagos lalamunan hanggang puso!"

This life is so fucked up. Kahit kailan ni walang gustong umintindi. They tried but all of them got tired eventually. I drank everything until I couldn't take it anymore, he didn't even come to find me huh? But why would he?

Umiikot na ang kapaligiran ko, I was drunk but still catch him in a bunch of people. In a U-shaped couch he was sitting and was drinking endlessly. Silently, sasagot lang sa tanong o di kaya ay sa mga bati nila. Tila ba ang lahat ng attention ay naka tuon sa alak. I shrug it off and continue walking in the hallway looking for my room number.

"Aw-right! I got you!" I was even shock when I didn't need to use my key card, it open by just me leaning on it, I almost fell on the floor but thanks god I didn't. But I did fall on someone, I felt his chest on my back. I chuckled humorlessly, am I dreaming? What the hell? My sleepy eyes widen a bit.

"Oh? It's you? Diba nasa baba ka lang kanina?"

"Samantha you're drunk, I thought you were home?" I look straight in to his and fix my self. I stood properly. "Ah? Nauna na ako sa after party. Tagal nyo naman kase eh, I want to celebrate the real party!" He sighed heavily and touches my arm.

"Where is your room–"

"My room? It's here! So get out of my way and let me have a sleep!" I pushed him hard, but not hard enough to get him out of me. Ramdam ko ang mabibigat nitong pag hinga.

Mapakla akong tumawa. "Did you enjoy her company huh? Well good for you!"

"What? What are you talking about?"

"Tss. Maang maangan ka pa eh, syempre si Miss Mitchell! Ganda nya no? You should date her–oh? Are you already dating ba? Usapan yan sa company eh." I chuckled sarcastically. Hindi ko alam kung lasing lang ba ako o ano, but I saw his eyes soften. I shrug it off turn my back on him.

I felt him behind, he breathed in and out. Ramdam ko ang init na dala nito mula sa likod, I close my eyes tight when I felt his hands around me. "What is your problem huh? I miss you..." Oh? Did he really?

Bumuntong hininga ako at binuksan ang mga mata, umayos ako ng tayo at humarap sa kan'ya para itulak s'ya. He almost at that act of mine. Pakiramdam ko nagising ang buong kaluluwa ko mula sa pagkaka lunod sa alak.

"Liar!" I saw him close his eyes tight.

"Baby, what is wrong with you?!"

"Baby? Baby mo mukha mo! Ganyan naman kayong lahat eh! Tsk. Wala akong kasalanan! You all just make me feel it's my fault when it is not!" His lips parted in shock, unable to speak. He reach for me but I didn't let him. "B-baby, no. That's not true alright? What are you talking? Come here let's calm down okay?"

His voice hoarse. Siguro dahil sa antok, pagod at sa alak na ininom nito kanina. He sighed and walk towards me. He grab me and cage me with his masculine arms. Pakiramdam ko ang liit ko dahil sa yakap nya. He hug me tight and whisper words. He caressss my hair and kiss my head.

I then sob.

"Shhs, it's alright it's alright babe." His kisses from my head went down to my lips. From very passionate and slow kisses into something wild.
