"Hope remains"
Affection given, yet heart still broken,
Cursed with fear, depression, unspoken.
Rejection follows, love's promise shattered,
Aggression grows, hopes and dreams scattered.
Disgust and sorrow fill my heart,
As I try to mend what's torn apart.
Assumptions haunt, hurt that won't leave,
Abandoned, alone, I struggle to believe.
But hope remains, a flicker in the dark,
Love may come again, to heal my heart.
I'll learn from mistakes, and try anew,
And find someone who'll see my worth, too.
