"Do you only own black? It's like your entire wardrobe is monochromatic di Angolo." Piper and Jason were actually the ones helping me out. Why not my beloved sister? I threw her out when she started coming up with wedding venues.

Luckily the tension between them was extremely minimal, at least on Jason's side. McLean was stiff as a board whenever they got close which is... for lack of better words ironic. "Well, he does have a brightly colored Hawaiian shirt."

"Grace, if you try and stick me in that, I will throw you out too." He laughed and held his hands up in defense.

"I was just answering Piper's question." McLean laughed a bit and continued to ruffle through my clothes. "Besides, what's more important is what you say. You need to be yourself of course... but Nico sometimes you act insane."

Piper snapped and pointed to him. "That's true. But has he already seen that side of you is the question."

I shrugged a bit. I wasn't even 100% sure what they were talking about. Though, if anyone had seen weird behavior from me recently it would be Will. "Yeah, I guess so." Jason nodded.

"Good, then you can just be who you are, and I mean it's a date so everyone is naturally gonna try and put their best foot forward." Jason said and took a seat on my bed. Piper pulled out a dark grey shirt that had a pomegranate design on it in a darker grey.

"I don't know if I agree with that. I mean maybe a date between two guys would be different, like two girls tend to share everything right away and not really hold back you know? At least from what I've seen." I paused and stared at her as she started looking through my jeans.

Was Piper seriously about to come out to Jason? "How would you know Pipes?" He laughed a bit but behind his glasses, I could see his confusion. Oh how he never assumes.

"Hm?" She looked over her shoulder at him and her eyes were practically bulging out of her head. I gestured to Jason like she was crazy. How can she just not tell him after saying that? He not only deserved to know, but he was one of the most accepting straight guys I've ever met. "Oh stop it Nico you look crazy." I sighed and stopped. Jason was still lost and looked like a little kid who had been left out of a joke.

"Am I missing something?"

"Everything. You're missing everything, Grace." Piper threw one of my jeans at me then came over and put it back in the drawer. "Don't be mad at me for thinking he should know."

"Fine! I went on a date with Shel the other day and it was really nice; I like girls Jason, but I also think I might still like guys but I honestly have no idea and it's really confusing me. Happy di Angelo?" I sighed and crossed my arms. No. I wasn't trying to make her do anything, other than agree with me that is.

Realization dawned on Jason's face and he leaned over to me. "Is that why she broke up with me?"

I nodded a little. "To figure out who she is yeah." He nodded a bit and sat back up properly.

"Still, that's two girls, and the mindset of guys and girls are very different so I say best foot forward." Piper seemed surprised that Jason really didn't care that she was queer. Anyone would be able to tell that he wouldn't.

"Ok, can we just get back to what I'm gonna wear?" So that's what we did. Piper picked me apart for what felt like an eternity but was really only 49 minutes.

"Pipes, he looks great let him be." I was wearing the shirt she picked out, slightly baggy ripped black jeans, my bomber jacket, new Doc Martins that Hazel had gifted me, my skull ring, and a beanie that Piper had spawned out of nowhere.

"Fine fine fine. I just want his first date to go well." She messed with some of my hair that was sticking out from under the hat clearly not letting me be.

"What makes you think this is my first date?"

"Well obviously it is with Will, but is it in general?" Jason asked, hitting McLean's hands away from my hair. I didn't say anything which was probably all the confirmation they needed.

It was already 6:38 so I gracefully tossed them out of my dorm and collected a couple of things like my phone, charger, wallet, and I even put on some cologne. I looked myself over in the mirror and even I thought I looked pretty good for a change. Piper must have worked some magic on me to achieve this.

I left and caught the bus heading to the bowling alley. The entire ride there, whenever we hit a pothole or dip in the road I thought I would vomit from how nervous I was. I got there and it was 6:53. Sure it was a little cold out but I figured I would just wait outside for Will.

As I was walking up to the doors I watched him walk out meeting me just outside. "Hey, Nico. You look... fantastic." He was one to talk. He was wearing an orange shirt with no print and a light-wash jean jacket on top. His jeans weren't ripped though and were much more form-fitting than mine. He was wearing sunflower Converse and he even had on a gold necklace to top it off. Whatever Piper had done to me clearly couldn't match up.

"You... I... wow." I really couldn't speak; I was just simply looking at him. He laughed a little and held out his hand. I tried to silence the part of me that screamed to run away, as I took his hand and interlocked our fingers.

His hand was so much warmer than mine like he was a personal heater. We walked inside where he insisted on paying for every little thing there. Which I can't deny, I liked. We got our bowling shoes and headed to our lane after getting the bowling balls. Don't be grody.

"Have you had dinner yet?" I glanced over at him when he spoke up suddenly.

No, I hadn't eaten. I was too busy dealing with other people. "Yeah, I did why?"

I heard him chuckle and watched as he rubbed the back of his neck. "Because I haven't and I was gonna get us some food for while we bowl."

I caught myself smiling at the thought. This guy was something else. "I haven't eaten either." He gasped and looked over at me.

"You cheeky little liar."

I started laughing now. "But you really don't need to buy me dinner." He rolled his eyes and paused for a moment before kissing the top of my head.

"You wouldn't have told me the truth if you didn't want something to eat. I'll be back in a few minutes." Now I couldn't be more glad he left because I could just tell I was red. He, with very minimal hesitation, kissed my head and I wasn't prepared for it. And It was only the first few minutes of our first date. Not to mention it felt like a jab at my height. Now I didn't even have the courage to argue about paying for the food.

Hey guys gals and non-binary pals!

I'm not quite sure how to write date scenes but I will definitely try to make it cute

Also, I've been asking some of my friends that know nothing about this, if I should make this more gay and they all say yes so... it's gonna get more gay-

Have a great day/night!
