Authors Note/Disclaimer: Hello! I was really excited and decided to release at least one chapter (I couldn't help myself). I do not own any of the characters beside my own and I of course did not write/own any of the songs and photos used. The song used is "Like the Movies" by Laufey and the other is "I wish you love".

Martha Jones was walking down the street with headphones in her ears, listening to a song on her phone when a phone call interrupted it. She sighed before noticing who was calling, causing her to quickly answer it; a smile adorning her face as she answered the call.

"Why are you up so early? You were snoring when I left." She said in a joking tone. "I thought you would be sleeping till noon. I heard you throw your alarm clock this morning, you always make such a fuss in the mornings." she said into the phone, already imagining the look on her roommate's face.

"Haha, very funny." The person on the other line said, their American accent coming out strong with sarcasm, and putting the call on speaker. "Maybe instead of a Doctor, you should be a comedian." She said, though even through the phone, Martha could tell that her friend/roommate was smiling. Martha continued her journey to work, listening to sound of her roommate in their flat as she avoided people.

The person sets her phone down on the kitchen table and Martha could hear a ding from the oven could be heard, along with some ruffling. The mysterious person quickly put her hair into a bun before taking the cupcakes out of the oven.

"You're baking this early? The party isn't till later." Martha said, moving through the crowd. Her roommate loves baking for special events and always made the best food that Martha honestly thought that her friend must have been a chef in the past. She honestly could probably open her own little bakery, but Martha was not going to complain, especially since she got to eat it all the time.

"Well, I thought I would come in today and have you and some of the others taste test some of the cupcakes. I made sure to do different flavors, so it's just up to the judges to say which one is the best." The person said to her, carefully checking the cupcakes to make sure they were baked almost all the way through. "I honestly think that these are so going to beat the cupcakes I made for Tish's birthday." her roommate exclaimed happily as she jotted down the new changes she made to her cupcakes in her notebook.

Beeping interrupted Martha and she looked down at her phone to see Tish was calling her.

Martha sighed, annoyed by her sister's call. "Well, Tish is calling so it's probably something to do with my parents. Make sure to text me when you arrive. See you later." She said, about to hang up the phone call.

"Make sure you're wearing your lab coat when I arrive; you know I love a person in uniform." The voice flirted, causing Martha to laugh. She was glad that the conversation was over the phone, she did not want to give her any ammunition by her reddening cheeks.

The person started picking up used dishes and putting them into the dishwasher. She looks at her wrist and sighs, clearly missing something that was no longer there. She often wondered why her hands and arms felt so bare. She had tried wearing bracelets before, but they never fit properly on her wrist or just didn't feel right.

"Stop it, you. This is why my mother doesn't like you." Martha joked as she avoided other walking pedestrians.

"Hush, Francine loves me! Especially since I help you study and take care of the flat. Now don't be late, I'll be there around lunch. Love you darling! Kisses Mwah." Then the line goes dead.

Martha shakes her head happily as she thought about her roommate before proceeding to call Tish back and proceeds to try to solve whatever issue they give her for the day.
