After dropping her and coming back he suddenly realised the room suddenly felt dull without Vivian. As if she took all the colors with her and leaving him in the void. Though Caelum knew he would meet her again tomorrow, each time she walked away, it was as though the entire world fell into a profound, echoing silence.

It was becoming increasingly difficult for him to maintain his distance. His primal instincts relentlessly urged him to keep her close, to protect and cherish her, as the mate bond between them grew stronger with each encounter. It was an unrelenting force, demanding that he stay by her side and claim her as his own. Caelum couldn't help but feel that he was in a race against time, a battle against the inevitable moment when he would be unable to resist its pull. All he could do was hope that he could mark Vivian as his mate before that moment arrived.

In an attempt to distract himself, Caelum began to work, only stopping when everything was completed. However, the restlessness within him continued to intensify, refusing to subside.

He unlocked a drawer and took out, "How To Woo A Human Mate In 30 Days". Though he had memorized it, he still started reading it again. The words reassured him that he was making progress, drawing nearer to the moment when Vivian would truly be his.

The first chapter of the book titled "Patience", clearly explained the repercussions of not being patient. One particular story stood out to Caelum—a tale of a human mate, who killed himself due the actions of the wolf mate. When the wolf found his mate, he immediately took him back to his house and had expected the human to understand their world without any time or proper explanation. This caused the human to fear his mate who he felt was a monster and in his fear had taken his own life. And the wolf without his mate lost control and turned feral and had to be put down.

Caelum was stunned to his very core by this revelation, realizing that without the guidance of such books, he might have found himself making the same fateful choices as that unfortunate wolf.

Whenever he felt impatient, he would open that book and read it. None of the mates had a good ending when they radically approached the human. This calmed down Caelum a little. But also sent a shiver down his spine. After calming down, he put the book back along with the others titled, "Health of a Human Mate: Everything You Need To Know", "Human Anatomy for Werewolf Dummies", and few others will similar titles.

The following day, Vivian arrived at his house with her books and laptop, much to Caelum's delight. He immediately pulled her into his arms and hugged her tightly.

Vivian winced in discomfort, causing Caelum's heart to sink. Instantly, he released her, stepping back with a furrowed brow, his concern evident in his eyes. Had he been too forceful? Had he used too much strength. His guy twisted. She was too small, too delicate. This scared him more than anything. He thought he had it under control. But he still hurt her.

With a gentle smile, she reassured him, "I'm okay. Just a little surprised, I guess."

Her words eased the tension in the air, but Caelum couldn't shake off the feeling of guilt. He longed to hold her tightly, to envelop her in his embrace without restraint, but the fear of causing harm always loomed over him like a shadow, a constant reminder of the potential consequences of his strength.

"I missed you," he confessed softly, his voice tinged with sincerity and longing. Hugging her very gently.

Vivian couldn't help but chuckle at his gentle hug. "It's barely been a day," she teased, her laughter dancing in the air between them. She hugged him tighter in return.

"Caelum inquired, "Do you have a lot of work today?"

"Not really," Vivian replied, "I just have a little reading, and I just need to practice a few problems for my probability test."

She set her books on the dining table and sat down, ready to conquer the math.

"You can use my study," Caelum said.

Vivian was stunned; her light blue eyes slightly widened. The study was a very personal place, especially to important people. They always had confidential information there. Not everyone was allowed. Like her father, he only allowed family members inside. Even the maid wasn't allowed in. He cleaned it himself.

"Okayyy, will you be with me?" she asked hesitantly.

"Do you want me to?" he winked

"Yes", grinned back Vivian. Recently she felt that she was obsessed with him. Always wanting to be with him. And when he wasn't there, she was thinking about him.

"Okay let's go", said Caelum. Delighted that his mate wanted to spend time with.

Caelum led the way to the study.

Vivian instantly noticed the extra white desk and chair beside the black one. The study seemed to be designed in a minimalist style. While the they matched the style, they seemed superfluous.

"You arranged a desk for me?" Vivian asked.

"Yes, I wanted you to feel more comfortable studying here instead of the library," he confessed sheepishly, having set it up long ago

He couldn't wait for her to spend time with him, so when she said she would consider coming here to study, he immediately arranged a desk.

Vivian smiled a little, but felt a little uncomfortable. She felt she wasn't putting enough efforts in this relationship as he was. This made her a little upset. She liked him a lot but she was always busy with school work. Most of the time it was Caelum accommodating her. He arranged his work around her time. He planned the perfect dates. He seemed too good to be true. Like he wasn't real. She shook off the discomfort and decided to complete her work earlier so she could spend time with him.

The rest of the morning passed in silence as they worked side by side, yet the room seemed to hum with a sense of contentment. Caelum wore a gentle expression, his eyes occasionally drifting to Vivian with affection while looked over a bunch of documents.
