with gusto)
How disgusting!

RIMONA

No. Worse! Ridiculous!

(snickering)
He's afraid of the dark!

PAZIT
A

know?

RIMONA
T

wherever he goes.

PAZIT
I

NAAVA
S

him, Pazit!

SHIRA
(

pretending to
rock a baby)
Oh, no. Just enough to be a

nursemaid to him!
They all laugh.

KEFINA
Well, he needs a nursemaid. For

himself, and the donkeys he keeps!

PAZIT
He is kind of cute...

RIMONA
(

fluttering eyes)
In a helpless sort of way.
P-leeze Pazit, he's not your type!
Too quiet, and strange, and what's
he thinking about all the time?

KEFINA
C

an you believe, she would even be
seen, sharing his company! It's
just too much for me.

RIMONA
S

sshhh! She's coming!

All stare innocently.

Temira walks up the hill, passing their little group. She is noticeably upset.
Pazit steps forward.

PAZIT
W

heard all the commotion.

TEMIRA
Who couldn't. It's over now,

anyway, Tzefan just-

KEFINA
(

interrupting)
Just what Temira...lost his
