EXT. SHEEP-CAMP MICAH AND TZEFAN - DAY

TZEFAN
Micah. It has been near to three
days and no one, has seen as much
as a trace of her.

MICAH
(sighing)
I told you, it is not uncommon for
her to be away.

TZEFAN
(desperately)
Maybe so Micah, but NOT after what
I heard!

MICAH
(snapping)
What shall we do then? Tzefan,
have you a clue?

TZEFAN
(making direct eye
contact)
We must go into the city. To look
for her.

MICAH
(downcast)
You will find no help there, young
master.

TZEFAN
(confidently)
Oh, but I will.

MICAH
Her mysterious, shepherd friend?

TZEFAN
He is no shepherd Micah, he
is...the King.

Micah's expression is a mixture of shock, horror and
disbelief.

MICAH
(slowly)
Young master, you've said a lot of
things since I have known you
and...I have believed you, but
perhaps the heat...

TZEFAN
I saw his face! One day when he
arrived in camp. Looking for
Temira. I saw him as he left and
the wind blew the scarf from his
face.

MICAH
(shaking head)
Do you really realize what you are
saying, because I don't think you
do...

TZEFAN
Yes, and I am not afraid. The
important thing is to find her,
and warn her of this rotten thing
her own brother has done if it is
not too late.

MICAH
It may well be too late now. Her
brothers do have authority over
her and the right to arrange her
future.

TZEFAN
(with clenched jaw)
Not. Behind. Her. Back.

MICAH
(shrugging)
Emotions are arbitrary. Jehdeiah
is well in a position to obtain
her.

Tzefan turns to Micah with a fiery gaze.

TZEFAN
(fiercely)
And I not more so?

MICAH
More so indeed if you are...the
legendary Gem of Paran, but to
meddle in the affairs of the King
of Israel, I have to draw the line
there Tzefan.

TZEFAN
Fine. I will handle it alone.

Tzefan walks away, missing the smile that plays across the
lips of the wise shepherd.
