Kisshu’s Point of View

I did it! I finally have her!! She made this so easy for me. I could tell she was reluctant to go, but I took my chance whenever she walked off. Now all I have to do is convince her to stay, which I don’t think that’ll be hard whenever Taruto gets Pudding. After we teleported back, I could tell she was in shock. I set her down on the steps gently, staring into her eyes. “Wha…how…did that just happen??” She wondered out loud, dazed. I laugh at her behavior, and patted her on the head. “Of course it did! You’re with me now, as I said you would be. But don’t worry, you won’t be alone for long.” I give her a lopsided grin, but she stares at me blankly, like she’s thinking about something. “I won’t be alone? What does that mean??” She asks quickly, her voice rising a bit. “Taruto is bringing someone else here, someone I know you care for dearly.” I smirk, knowing she’ll get the hint. Her eyes widen when she catches on. “PUDDING???” she yells, and I nod my head. I can see a faint smile on her lips, but she shakes it off. “What am I supposed to do now? I don’t like being a prisoner.” She states, glaring at me. Prisoner?? She thinks she’s a prisoner? I can’t help it, I bust out laughing. “Wow, that’s a good one Heirii!! I haven’t laughed like this in a long time!” I say, clutching my sides from laughing. She looks at me desperately, and I know now she meant it. I straighten up. “Oh, you weren’t kidding eh? Well, I don’t want you running off, so…you have to stay here.” I say, pointing to where she is sitting. Her mouth drops open in protest. “Are you freaking kidding me?? NO! I’m going to walk wherever I want to, if I’m here!” She stands up, about to walk off. “Oh no you don’t. You’re staying here…because…” I tried to remember what humans use whenever they get into trouble. “Because you’re grounded!!!” I finish, proud of myself for remembering. “What?” she says baffled. “Hehe, you heard me, now you have to stay here.” I tell her, pointing to where she was. Does this actually work on humans?? It’s funny!! She huffs, plopping down on the spot where she was, crossing her arms and pouting. “I should be able to at least walk around, but no, someone has to freaking ground me. This is dumb.” I hear her grumble, and I laugh at her again. “It works! Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon, my little fox.” I tell her, and she looks at me with wide eyes. “Whoa whoa whoa, you’re leaving me here…alone????” I think about what she said. If Pai were to find her, he’d have a fit and probably kill her…hmmmm. “Well, not for very long. I have to go fetch you some food, don’t I?” I tell her, trying to convince her it was for her own good. My real plan was to help Taruto get that other girl. “Fine!” She yells in exasperation. I grin at her. “Bye-bye, Foxy!” I wave to her, then teleport out of there. Meeting up with Taruto, I see he’s spying on the other girl. “Hey Taruto, you know staring at her isn’t going to make her come?” He jumps, unaware of my presence. I scared the poor guy. Hehehe, wimp. “I know that! I’m…planning!!” He tells me, trying to hide his embarrassment of being caught. I smirk at him. “You don’t have a plan, but I do.” He looks at me carefully, and seeing that I indeed do have one, he nods his head. “Fine, let’s just get this over with.” I nod to him, and we begin to put our little operation into effect. Don’t worry, my sweet little Heirii, you won’t be alone.

Pudding’s Point of View

I was devastated. Whenever Kisshu took Heirii, I felt like a piece of my heart was ripped away from me. I’ve been depressed the entire day, and everyone else has too. “If only we could’ve made her stay, she wouldn’t have been taken.” Ichigo said. I knew we were all blaming ourselves. Who knew what they were doing to her?!?! I tried to keep positive thoughts, but it was really hard. “Hey guys, I’m going to go home a bit early.” I say monotone, and they look at me sympathetically. Ichigo and I were the closest to Heirii, so we took it the hardest. I took off my apron, changing into my normal day clothes. Walking out of the café, I had my head down, trying not to give in to the tears that were threatening to fall. I sniffle, still looking down, avoiding everyone around me. I’m almost home, whenever I hear a laugh from above me. I know that laugh!! My eyes widen, and I look up. “Taruto!” I call to him, surprised. Why is he here?? I look over, seeing Kisshu by him. Anger flared through me, and I started yelling at him. “Why did you take Heirii!!? I need her back!” my voice shaking, I look up at them bravely. “So you want to be with her right?” Kisshu asks tauntingly. I nod my head. “Of course! Who wouldn’t? She’s like my sister!” When I say this, Kisshu’s eyes widen with knowing. Taruto smiles a real smile, and nods his head. “Well then, we can fix that problem.” He says, and they both float down to the ground, landing in front of me. “What do you mean by that?” I say, not letting my guard down. Taruto looked at me with a newfound seriousness I’ve never seen in him before. “Come with us, Pudding. Heirii is up there too. She can’t really go anywhere, but she’s alone. You don’t want that, do you?” He’s sweet talking me, and I know it. “You’re lying! She can go anywhere!” I yell indignantly at them. Kisshu shakes his head. “Nope. Let’s just say she’s…grounded right now.” He says with a crooked grin. My eyes widen, and I feel a sense of dread coming over me. “What did you do to her?” He shrugs, and turns away. “I just came back to get some food so she doesn’t starve, hehe. She’ll be with me for…a long time.” He says this with a wink, and I’m pushed over my edge. “You can’t keep her! She’s one of us!!!” I scream, trying not to completely blow up at them. Taruto gets in front of me, gripping my shoulders tightly. “Calm down Pudding. If you come with me, you’d be safe too. I…I care for my friends, and you’re my friend.” Widening my eyes with surprise, I clap my hands over my mouth. He’s my friend??? After all this time, he actually cares for me. I looked into his eyes to see if he was being truthful, and he was. I tried to hide my smile, but it didn’t work. “Taru-taru!” I say, giving him a hug. He was surprised, but once again hugged me back. I pull away, still concerned. “What about the others? Can’t they come too?” Kisshu chuckled, and Taruto looked at me with a sad smile. “No, they can’t. But it’ll just be us four! You won’t have to worry about fighting anymore!” he pleads, and I don’t believe it. I can’t leave Ichigo, Mint, Lettuce, or Zakuro!!! “Why not? They’re my friends too!!” I protest, but he just rolls his eyes. Taking my hand, he picks me up, and Kisshu is flying beside us. “There’s no time for arguing, so come on.” Taruto said, and we teleported. I open my eyes I didn’t realize I had closed, and gasped. The sky around me was green, and there were old pillars and concrete surrounding me. I look over, seeing Heirii sitting on steps, “HEIRII!!!!” I shout, running over to her. She looks up at me, a smile breaking out on her face. She stands up, and embraces me as I run into her arms. “Pudding! I’ve missed you so much! Are the others here?” she gushed out, and I felt myself tense. “No, they aren’t. Taru-taru took me here, saying he cared about his friends, and didn’t want me getting hurt.” I explained to her, and she sighed. “That’s what Kisshu said to me. I can’t help this gut feeling I have. Do you feel them? Butterflies?” she asked, and I know by the look on her face that I’m the only one she’s confessed this too. I shook my head. “I feel them too whenever Taru-taru is here. But I feel like I’m doing something wrong, like I’m betraying everyone else.” I say, looking at her with my big eyes. She sighs. “Touché, I know the feeling. I’m torn in between, and I don’t know what to do about it.” I felt torn too, but I knew my duty, so I knew the choice I had to make. “We have to get out of here, we have a job to do Heirii, and you know it too.” I whispered harshly to her, and she looked surprised by my tone. “I know, but…gaahh!! It’s just so hard for me, Pudding. I don’t see the reason to fight, on either side! We fight for the same thing, you know? We should just stop it all, and end this stupid war.” I stare at her in shock. When did she start feeling this way? Or has she felt like this all along and we haven’t noticed?? I shake my head, trying to understand what she’s saying. “But, what if we have to fight? Would you side with Kisshu, or us? Your own kind?” I ask, curious of how she’ll answer. I knew what her answer should be, but the way she’s acting makes me feel uneasy. She looks down, “I don’t know Pudding. I honestly don’t.” She sat down, her head in her hands. I sat next to her, putting my hand on her shoulder in a comforting way. “Why don’t you?” I asked softly, not trying to entice her. “Because…I see it from both sides. Kisshu, Taruto, and Pai all fight for their home, and we do the same. If we just stopped, everyone would be peaceful, and maybe they could come live with us. Make everyone into a peaceful place, no harm, fighting, or pain.” She whispered, her eyes downcast. I stared into her eyes. Those beautiful blue/green eyes that sparkled were now dull. “But if we have to fight. Like absolutely HAD to, who would you side with?” I ask again, trying to get her to answer me directly. “Honestly Pudding, I might just walk away. If I choose either way, I’ll hurt someone. And I’ve hurt enough people in my life, so I’m done with that. It’s too painful for me, and I can’t bear it anymore!” she said, turning to stare into my eyes, hers now burning with intensity. I look at her, trying to comprehend what she’s telling me. She sighed heavily. “You don’t understand where I’m coming from, do you?” I look down, ashamed that I can’t. “It’s okay Pudding. No one understands me.” I look at her confused. “What do you mean?” She stares into my eyes, and sighs. “It’s time for you to know something about me, Pudding.” I look at her, listening intently.
