You know where you're gonna land young lady? Prison! Where it tends to be dirty and has an unpleasant smell. Are you willing to take that risk, Bonnie? Cause when you're caught with him and placed in the slammer, your Mom and I won't help you. Walk out that door, and forget about coming back!

Remembering that intense speech her father gave, Bonnie knew the day his worst fear had finally come true. His daughter was now a jailbird.

Mr. Ackles constantly warned her that running off with Clyde was a major mistake. He forecasted it and her mind refused to listen. But now Bonnie wished that she could undo what she did.

Falling head over heels with a ruffian during a fundraiser her mother funded for charity wasn't what she expected, but according to her, love has no boundaries. The handsome brunette took her breath away. Bonnie knew she broke her parent's rules in dating a man outside of their social circle. And she paid the price as her parents disowned her.

The moment the guard opened the doors wide enough for both Bonnie and Clyde to enter, Bonnie smelled the stench she was warned about earlier.

As she predicted it, foul odors in the dilapidated halls of Iron Heights welcomed the infamous duo. It wasn't something to be proud of, but she anticipated that doomsday would officially come.

She wanted to pinch her nose but it was impossible to do that when their hands were handcuffed. Instead, she sneered as she squinted her eyes. This place wasn't where she belonged, but right now Bonnie didn't have any choice.

It wasn't too long ago, when she could easily ask her father to bail her out of obstacles such as these, but that wasn't going to happen now. This is what Bonnie wanted; to become an independent woman, but it was more than she bargained for.

Even though Bonnie wasn't the typical snobbish girl who acted like a diva, she was raised as a Catholic girl that would never hurt a flea. And before she left her family home, she took most of her fancy clothes with her in a luggage she secretly stashed in her cousin's house.

But now that her cousin's home was far away from where Clyde took her, all Bonnie had left was what she wore. She needed new clothes as the ones she wore under her trench coat were ripped and stained. She only bought what was found in thrift stores or what she could find in homeless shelters. It didn't bother her that she was now considered "trash" just like her boyfriend was; as they were together was all that mattered.

The two were given prisoner uniforms, orange ones that didn't fit her liking as it was a bit tight. But as she tried to complain to the staff, they ignored her.

"It's supposed to be one size fits all. Depending on your height, it's all that we have. Take it or leave it!" Remarked the lady behind the counter.

Sighing, all Bonnie could do now was to keep wearing the attire since she didn't have any other options.

Bonnie also anticipated that many typically thought of her as another "dumb blonde", but would be ready to prove them wrong. It was a major insult that she knew the staff had when they first saw her. Words could say so much, as it was her impression that they didn't like her at first since she was the only one who was platinum blonde.

Bonnie asked for advice from Martina on how to dye her hair, and soon her hair had a shade of black. Even though her attitude hardly changed, Bonnie's dark hair now matched it. Yet, she wasn't sure if that was the right decision to make as Clyde kept asking her to change it back. She would do anything to please her man.

While the guards accompanied Bonnie and Clyde to their cells, the two prisoners walked briskly toward their final destinations with their heads down as if they were two dead men awaiting for the gas chamber.

Clyde was led to the hallway specifically meant for male juveniles, while Bonnie went to the other. The two held hands knowing that this might be the last time they would see each other.

But that precious moment they had was interrupted as soon as the guard known as Jones, took hold of Clyde.

"Break it up love birds, we got to get you two headed to your destination."

And with that a female guard took Bonnie to her holding cells.

On the side of the entrance, criminals clung to the greasy cell bars to see who the newcomer was. They shouted profanities to welcome their new cell mate. Awkward as it may be, these prisoners found that bullying new inmates was their only source of entertainment after being confined for a long time.

"Looks like we got a new boy in the slammer, Mikey. Hey, Curley, what are you in for?"

Both prisoners laughed when Clyde declined to respond.

Since Clyde wasn't paying attention to how close the prison bars were, one of the inmates was able to grab his shirt.

"Hey, look at me Curly boy when I'm talking to you!" Shouted inmate number one. The 2nd inmate joined in with his cellmate and grabbed Clyde's hand.

The guard on duty quickly took his baton out and placed it between the prisoner's bars to stop this racketeering.

"Let him go, Duane! You too Michael. I don't appreciate you doing that. Next time, you guys might be transferred!" Warned the guard.

" Ooh, I'm shaking in my bones! You can't threaten me Jones!" Duane mocked. But his cellmate nudged him to settle down.

"Be quiet Duane, fun is over. Shut up, or you're gonna get us both in more trouble."

Walking forward with Jones, Clyde bit his tongue, a spiritual sign where someone might be thinking about him. One of his foster mothers shared this with him and till that day, Clyde never forgot about it.

This is not exactly what I expected. I wish someone would help us out!

Clinging to one of the bars, Clyde cried.
