RURI LED THEM through the dimly lit forest. Beside her narrating, the only sound was the leaves, crunching as they stepped on it. The moon was the only thing guiding their path as they went to god knows where.

Each struggle of Byakuya strung her heartstrings . If he truly died years ago, there was no hope of ever getting him back. She couldn't believe that he single handedly tried to preserve humanity after the whole collapse.

Regardless, that meant the entire village was a descendant of Byakuya given the intercrossing between the three families. 'Incest could probably be the reason why they're still very less in number' she thought as Ruri finished her final tale.

"He counted on you, Senku. To bring back civilization, that's why these tales were passed on. In hopes you would hear them one day" she ended off, leaving them breathless.

Byakuya really had everything planned out, ready for Senku. They then faced the tall mountain of graves that were before them.

"There's one more particular story that stood out to me. My mother said it was one of our ancestor's favourite" Ruri then took [Name]'s hands in hers.

"The 27th tale, the story of the lost princess"

*****

Once upon a time, there lived a rich princess. She was the youngest of the two siblings yet no one paid attention to her. All everyone cared about was her older brother, the future king.

Her brother despised her, claiming that she was the cause of the problem between his parents. He called her scum, ruined her things and made her life a miserable hell.

He wanted to be the future king, promising other kingdoms great fortune. It was all lies, he had no idea how to make them true. Princess [Name] couldn't be bothered with getting the throne, she was sure her brother would kill her before she even took a step.

She didn't even want it, she was more fascinated by something else.

Their sorcerer, Ishigami Senku.

He was truly one of a kind. He taught her so many things about the outside world that she never saw. He bestowed to her the knowledge of various types of magic even though he is the same age as her.
