*Time jump*

Harry and Louis have been married for a while now, almost a year to be exact.

Both couldn't be happier. They were happy with the house, each other, their friends, jobs and so much more!

They have had the wedding 5 months ago and it was amazing. The vows were so powerful and both knew they made one of the best choices in their live.

They both had made a promise to each other on their wedding day, apart from the promise to love each other in sickness and health.

Harry had promised Louis to give Louis a rose every anniversary, to show him he appreciated everything he does for him, and to show him that their love never stops and always grows, just like a flower, he even bought him a 'infinity rose', a rose that never dies.

Louis had promised Harry to write him a letter every anniversary, with his feelings, past memories and events described and of course his love for Harry.

Harry adored these letters so much and can't wait every time till he gets a new one, he always looks forward to it.

They of course didn't have a 'perfect life' and faced arguments sometimes like every other couple, but nothing they couldn't fix together.

Liam, Niall and Zayn were also very excited when they heard the news. Liam had pat Louis on the shoulder, winking at him and saying 'I was already waiting for this since our outside smoking talk.'

Louis had laughed and told him he's glad the moment had been there, everyone was thriving!

But, one thing was actually missing....

Their lives felt.. not complete. It felt like they were missing the last piece of a puzzle.

"Harry they still didn't call us, they probably don't think we won't be good parents!" Harry rushed over to his crying husband.

"Lou don't say that honey, maybe it just takes a while for them to find the right fit, you will be a great dad, I'm sure!" He kisses Louis' cheek, pulling him closer to the side.

Louis sniffs. "What if they don't like two gay men adopting a child? What if-" Harry shushed him by putting a finger to his lips.

"Ashe told us that doesn't matter, being gay doesn't mean we are worse parents, lou you know that." Louis nods.

They had been feeling a bit empty lately. They had each other and felt great, but really wanted a little kiddo to take care of together.

They had filled in paperwork and they and their house was approved and child friendly, ready for a child.

It was just waiting now for a call, a call that would change their lives, giving them the opportunity to give a child a great life and future, they wanted nothing more...

"It will be fine babe, I promise." Harry stroked Louis his hair, showing him a hopeful smile.

Louis cuddled into harry's side some more, nodding against his arm. "You're right, we just gotta be patient..."
