"Well I don't know about this, I mean I love animals but is this a good idea? I'm scared I want to take all of them home!" Louis half yelled, a sheepish smile on his face.
Harry put a arm around his shoulder. "Lou you know we won't be able to take all of them home, I mean that would be... crazy." He laughed. "But, what we can do is donate some money to the shelter every month or so, help the animals there you know? They deserve everything the world can give them."
Louis kisses his cheek. "Just like you, it's a great idea,"
They walked to the desk of the animal shelter and introduced themselves, explaning that they're looking to adopt a puppy.
The lady is very friendly and shows them all kind of puppy's. They all wag their tails and Louis can't help but adore all of them, they are so cute!
"Here we have the last kennel, but this dog isn't a pup anymore, he's two already, was abandoned by his previous owner because apparently he 'was too loud'."
Harry snorts. "That's a shitty excuse, the lad must have been a loud one himself, and a rude one to say at least."
Louis sat on his bum in front of the kennel and put his hand through the bars. "What's his name?"
The lady smiles. "Her name is Alexis, meaning 'partner'.
Alexis was a golden retriever and seemed very happy even tho the circumstances.
Harry looked at Louis, Louis answering his glance with a smile. At that moment, Alexis stood up from it's place and made her way over to Louis, wagging her tail as it decided whether to sniff Louis' hand or not.
Eventually she did and licked Louis' finger, making both the lads awe.
"I mean we weren't really looking for a older dog, but she's so cute, don't you think, hazz?" Louis looked at Harry, who now crouched down himself to slowly pet the friendly dog.
"I think she is ready to have a new place to call home, she will be treated like a princess if it's up to Louis." All three of them laughed.
"Shall I get the adoption papers then?" The lady asks, Harry and Louis nodding in response. "That sounds wonderful, I hope we will be able to fill in more of those soon enough." He whispers the last part, Harry squeezing his hand and kissing his cheek. "No worries, one step at a time."

Alexis loved the new home. She got lots of cuddles from both Louis and Harry and seemed to really enjoy herself with all the new toys, from balls to plushies, she loved it.
Louis and Harry loved her presence as well, and made that known by giving her lots of treats, well, not too many of course...
They had her for two weeks and were playing in the garden when Louis heard the familiar ringtone of his phone. He looked at it: 'unknown number' it said.
Louis hummed as he picked up.
"Hello? I'm hoping to speak with Louis Tomlinson."
"Speaking."
"Hi Louis, the agency here, we found a match for you and Harry..."
